This gaming chair is well‑built with excellent quality. It comes with a massage lumbar pillow which feels really soothing after long hours sitting. I love the retractable footrest, super handy when I want to kick back and relax. The recline adjustment works smoothly, I can tilt it back to my preferred angle easily. The padding is soft and supportive, overall very comfortable to sit on. Highly recommend this chair!

I purchased this computer gaming chair for my husband as a Christmas gift this past December. My husband wanted an upgrade from his standard computer chair so we were on the hunt for a nice chair, but looked no further once we found this beauty. My husband knew right away this was the one he wanted after viewing it. This chair had everything he was looking for & more! I will say, this chair is a bit more on the smaller side for a computer. Chair. It’s not your standard size. My husband is 6’1 & weighs 240 & he fits comfortably snug. I feel like other than this chair being on the smaller side vs. other computer chairs was really it’s only down fall / con. This chairs really softttt & super comfy. If you’re a gamer & sit more than 8 plus hours at a time playing games, I can promise you your butt won’t be hurting afterwards when sitting in this chair! I’d rate its comfort a solid 8. It’s also really nice you have adjustable back & top pillow pad that you can adjust to your liking of comfort. This chair also comes with a back massager which works awsome! I will admit, having to constantly plug the cord in though via. USB everytime you want to use the back massager is a bit of a pain & a bad design I personally felt. I would much rather just be able to push a button or flip a switch when I want to turn on the back massager because realistically that would be a lot more convenient & modern, vs. having to reach for a plug each time you want to use the massager. It does have good power though & strong vibration. It doesn’t have different kneading patterns or anything, it’s just a standard motor that puts out vibration. It’s been a few months since purchasing this gaming chair, and it’s over all holding up very nicely & my husband hasn’t had any complaints. He’s very happy with his new gaming chair & highly recommends buying it if your looking for a nice gaming chair that won’t break the bank & even though it looks pretty expensive, it’s rather affordable which made it even more worth buying! Lastly, the chair reclines almost completely back to where you can lay almost flat. It even has a nice little foot rest you can position outwards. This chair has some great features & has over all made my husband very happy! We’d buy this again! Look no further!!! You won’t regret it!

Chair is extremely comfortable and was built with great materials; hence the 5-star review. I spend a total of 8-12hrs per day 5x per week sitting in this chair. The retractable ottoman is my favorite feature; perfect under a desk when you are doing relaxed things. Not important and I dont use it, but Im amazed how far the back of the chair reclines. For your comparison, I'm a super average guy in terms of built and height. The Squeak: This chair got squeaky after 2 weeks. Heres how to fix it for old buyers, and how to prevent it for new buyers. A quick fix worth attempting is to re-tighten all your bolts to the "hand-tight" level of an average guy, which is a maintenance task that should be done every 6 mos to a year if you spend a lot of time sitting in the chair. If that doesn't deliver the results you are looking for, try the steps below. There are youtube videos about fixing a squeaky office chair from a different manufacturer with what seems like identical parts to the DowinX. If you already bought the chair and are looking for help, then get some white lithium spray grease and the alan wrench that came with the chair. Do NOT use WD-40 or anything else because they are either smelly, drippy, or not made for stoping metal/metal squeaks (use the leftover white lithium grease to fix your squeaky garage doors too!). Remove all the bolts, washers you originally installed, set them upside down on some newspaper and give them a quick light & easy coating. Then re-install everything taking care not to let the grease get on your chair fabric because I have no idea what the reaction could be or how to clean it. If you are new buyer, before installing the bolts/washers you should really consider doing the newspaper & lithium grease routine. You should only need to tighten the bolts for annual maintenance. I do not use the lumbar support pillow or massager, just out of a personal posture preference. I did buy "rollerblade wheels" (smoother roll and easier on the floors than plastic) and "memory foam armrest covers" from other vendors which are not necessary but nice to have. 2025 UPDATE: shortly after writing the original review, I removed the metal lumbar support rod, as it was uncomfortable on my back. The reason I’m writing an update though is to comment on the wobble/lean of the chair that developed over time. I usually lean to the right in my office chairs, and the chair itself developed a lean in that direction that seems independent of the swivel. Meaning I can’t rotate the chair around the swivel to balance the lean out. Not annoying or uncomfortable enough for me to fix, but definitely noticeable to the naked eye. The squeaks came back too…

I ordered this chair after my Respawn chair of 6 years started to deteriorate. Upon doing research, many said that Dowinx was a great brand and specifically that the ergonomic chair was comfortable, long-lasting, and a decent price. Firstly, the chair game much faster than expected which was a huge bonus. Living in an age of prime shipping I have become rather impatient and it showed up in 2 days. Next, the assembly instructions were extremely clear and I was able to put 95% of it together myself (only needing help for placing the back of the chair). My only quarrel is that the seat cushion is smaller than I expected. I am 5'3" and about 180 lbs and as someone who likes to sit criss-cross, it is possible to but it isnt as comfortable as it was in my respawn chair. I can sit normally very comfortably but I do feel restricted trying to sit any other way (which when I game I tend to move around a lot). The back of the chair is thinner than I was expecting, however this isnt necessarily a bad thing. The pillows sit well on the chair and complement my back. The back being smaller does make the chair significantly lighter which is a bonus to me. Overall, I would recommend this chair for someone who is smaller set and is on a budget. The overall quality of the chair is spectacular, the base of the chair is metal and the fabric feels extremely durable. So far, I am a big fan. The only reason I likely won't repurchase or purchase one for my partner is because of the size being smaller than I expected.

I was super excited for this chair as I play a lot of video games and need a chair that will be comfortable for 5-6 hours at a time. It's not terrible but here are the reasons I rate 3/5. 1. The foot extension is nice but very small. I'm not a huge guy either 175lbs 5'10. My feet dangle off pretty easily. 2. No matter how much I tighten all of the screws and bolts they still slowly but surely loosen to the point the chair feels like a rocking chair. I'll retighten them and it will be okay for a month or so until retightening is required. 3. The massage function is a gimmick. It's simply a weighted cylinder in pillow meant for your back that vibrates. 4. The nail in the coffin for me is the bottom of the chair. I find myself constantly adjusting due to the stiffness of the actual seat itself. My rear end will sometimes become sore from the seat. Do with this information what you will. I did tons of research, watched youtube videos, and thought this would be the perfect desk for the pricepoint. Decide for yourselves!

Really happy with this chair! It was easy to assemble. The fabric is soft and breathable. The cushions are detachable. The adjustable recline and footrest feels pretty premium, like a couch. Overall a good choice for the price.

Edit: It’s now 14 months later and I’m about 50 pounds under the recommended weight limit, and 14 months later this chair’s Gas Cyclinder snapped on me and it’s now permanently bent backwards. Trying to get into contact with support but haven’t received word in 2 days now from their official website. So be weary when buying this chair, it is comfortable and I wish I could sit in it still, but the gas cyclinder broke (the thing that you use to recline adjust up or down) so this ain’t something I can fix on my own. I ordered my chair and it Shipped pretty damn quick, my only issue is, and I’m pretty sure it’s just my local USPS’ problem, but I had to go pick it up myself after 2 days of them refusing to deliver it. So the chair itself, The armrests are absolutely amazing, the chair’s quality is amazing, I don’t slide around on the chair, the cloth is nice and gentle. I’m 5’10 and the headrest pillow is just slightly below my head, but it feels fine. The assembly was pretty easy, the booklet you get with it seems big, but it’s just different Languages, it initially frightened me until I found out, it’s only like 2 pages of assembly, and it’s idiot-proof, I have little faith in my ability to accurately put something together, and I did fine for this chair lol I’m a bit of a chubby guy, and I still have a bit of room when sitting down to lean to the side or something, the chair fits like a glove that isn’t overly tight or anything like that, genuinely have no issues with the fit of the chair The sturdiness is a little questionable I’d say, I went back and forth and tightened everything I’d felt like I needed to, and I’m not sure if it’s a feature or an error, but like I said, I can lean to the side some in the chair, but when I do, if I’m pushing against the back rest, it’ll kinda come with me I guess you could say, I don’t think it’s gonna break off or anything like that, but I’ve tightened the screws several times, nothing I could’ve done, so I hope it’s a feature Performance is incredibly good. It sits real high or real low, my desk is a higher wood desk, and it sits me real high up at the highest setting below the chair, I actually have to look down at that setting to see my monitor lol I personally have not tried the Recliner, but I do have a small issue with it, so when I sit, it is right at the edge of my chair, by no means is it in my way, but I typically like to put my legs under my chair when I’m sitting, with this chair it’s rather difficult since the footrest when not used is right below me. It also is a little crooked itself when it comes assembled, at least Mine was, nothing I assembled, just how it came. But even with that, it’s not a glaring issue at all Value for Money? Do it. If you’re gonna splurge on something probably gonna be spending a LOT of time in like myself, wether it be for gaming or work or what have you, this chair is worth it 100%. I originally didn’t plan to spend more than like $130 on a new gaming chair, but I’m glad I bought this chair, and I’m confident you will be too.

I bought this chair to replace my son’s current gaming chair that is made out of imitation leather. He has had that chair for a few years and it is all cracked and although I have tried to fix it with vinyl adhesive covering, it just keeps peeling off. This chair is a nice fabric and was easy to put together by myself. I like the lumbar massage option as well and it is comfortable to sit on. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a decent priced chair that isn’t made of something that is going to crack over time.

Very comfortable gaming chair! I’m really happy with this Dowinx gaming chair. The gray color looks great, and the chair is very soft and comfortable. The cushioning feels really good, even after sitting for a long time. Great quality and definitely worth it!
