what do you want for $40
this is an easily installed and adjusted generic tach. there is a 1-2 second display lag when the throttle is moved. i could not get the tach to display the correct rpm at both high end and low end at the same time. but it's reasonably close, say 10% give or take. while this tach is certainly not appropriate for a ferrarri, it's fine for my 3cylinder diesel powered sailboat.

Installed in my Skidder. Easy to wire and works well. Hopefully holds up to vibration and cold.

Product did not work, returned.
The ELING tachometer would not give proper RPM readings after multiple adjustments. The Help Desk was not able to correct the problem and suggested buying an additional sensor from them. I returned the product.

Not very accurate
This tach seams to be a bit erratic. The needle does an odd skip/jump in 200 or 500 rpm increments.

as long as your not concerned about the ability of the gauges to notify you of an immediate problem.
These gauges are extremely slow to respond, easy to install and use less power than analog or manual gauges but the most important thing in a set of gauges it speed and being accurate.

My tack on my Yanmar 3GM is flakey. Yanmar wanted $300 USD. I found this one and thought I would try it. It works great. I needed to figure out the number of teeth on my ring gear but then setting up the tach was simple.

Seems to work well
Bought as a replacement for my failed tach in my diesel powered boat. Simple installation but you do need to calibrate it to match the engine RPM’s initially. Purchased a digital strobe tach at the same time to do the calibration. Time will tell how long the tach will endure the marine environment

Inconstant speed
I've purchased 2 because the return period had expired. The tach flies up and down and random. Too bad I really like it and the programming feature is awesome, allows it to be dialed in to almost anything. But sometimes it says 1000, other tiles it says 3000 at idle ?????

Will not work on my tractor. It require a tooth count of the pinion gear my engine doe's not have.
