Best Teapot Ever
A gorgeous design in both function and art. Works at every level. In the past two decades we've gone through 2 dozen teapots from all over the world, all of which led us to keep looking. The glass thickness is perfect. Not too heavy, but still strong. (Any glass or ceramic that is dropped to the floor is going to break)Works for full pot to 1/2 pot, so flexible as to how much.I love the way the sili-string loops and detaches to the infuser, great material science design. On our daily in-sink drying rack it will balance on its own 45 degree angle pour snout, a delightful surprise.Best of all is that as clear glass you can see the tea brewing, if the infuser is still up or down, how much is left, and if it is time for a dishwasher cycle. We have a large double tiered lazy susan with 50 teas from all over the world, and love to see the colors changing from red to green to yellow to black day to day.Did I mention it is gorgeous? I find excuses not to put it back in the cabinet. One of the best products ever.

Design + Function
I just received this teapot in the mail and am enjoying my first cup of tea from it. The egg-infuser is clever and attractive but to get the infuser apart took a bit of time to figure out. It's a twist-and-lock style of fastener, but it's on very tightly and the shape and size of the egg makes it awkward to take apart. Still, once you figure it out it stops being a problem. The main thing I noticed about this pot is how light the glass it. It feels delicate... very delicate. I'm assuming it is borosilicate glass (as-la pyrex) since something this thin would have to be, otherwise it would crack from the heat of the hot water. Still I'll return and let you know should this thing crack or shatter at all. It's a pretty minimalist design so using it is very straightforward and intuitive. Not to mention beautiful to display and use.It doesn't say on the instructions, but there is a little sticker on the box that indicates that it IS indeed dishwasher-friendly, I'd keep it on the top rack, though. Just in case.If you enjoy tea to the point where you prefer to have multiple cups AND have an eye for modern design, than I give this the go-ahead without reservation. This is definitely an enthusiasts teapot and will definitely be my default when enjoying or sharing large quantities of tea.Just so you know, the teapot shattered not long after owning it. It was my mistake but I suppose I'll give it one less star for durability. Still I loved it.

Great design, long lasting and holds a lot
Let me start with saying I love glass. Glass is easy to clean. The taste of tea comes out best in my opinion. Although it is not best to heat the kettle from the company, I do everyday. I put it on low and about a third of water for about 5-8 mins. When that is warm/hot enough I add the tea bag and let that seep until I get the right strength/color then add room temp water to fill it and it makes ten cups of tea or more for the whole day for me. The design is great with the handle not being hot. ACV to clean it every once in a while. The egg is great for loose leaf and the clear glass for the flower teas. I like it bc it holds so much tea compared to the tiny ones at retailers and it's light and durable. Durable if you take care of it as I broke the one before that I had for three or four years by sticking a full sized bottle cleaner in the spout and twisted it in a strange angle that broke the spout right off in one piece- did not shatter. I think that's bc it is borosilicate glass.

Good pot but FRAGILE
Bought this for my wife. Cool look. Great tea. Expensive, but it is used and enjoyed daily. The glass needs to be thicker and more durable! I can live with the designer prices. I can live with the cumbersome mechanism. I can live with the "egg" floating to the side and top of the pot too often. But geez, the pot glass is sooooo thin and fragile. Granted I have broken 2 now (in less than a year) and they did not shatter and remained in tact (no blood. no burns) But I must now decide whether I buy a third or try a different brand. It should be noted that the first break was a gentle tap against the kitchen faucet as I was rinsing it and the second break was actually the metal egg tapping the inside of the pot spiritedly when it was grasped quickly for a pour. I would gladly pay more and compromise weight for a sturdier glass pot.

Missed the mark for me
The design of the unit unit is great looking. But, I did returned it. I was over all disappointed. The top lid was plastic. Not glass. Rubber or the plastic on this unit, is not BPA free either. I would have paid extra for better quality.

This is officially my new favorite teapot! I love the sheer volume of it
This is officially my new favorite teapot! I love the sheer volume of it, allowing for a liter and a half of tea at a time, plus the design is just gorgeous, if you like the elegance of minimalism. I find the egg strainer/lid configuration convenient, and love the spout stopper. I use a cast iron tea warmer to keep it warm (using a tea light candle) and it keeps it warm, but not hot. That's not unreasonable given the thermodynamics of glass and the sheer volume one little candle is trying to keep warm. Over all, THRILLED with this purchase!

Very beautiful, yet very delicate
This is a beautifully designed tea pot. I had no problems with heat resistance pouring boiling hot water into it (it's not designed to sit directly on the stove). The egg infuser is neat for steeping your tea, but it's very difficult to pull apart. The twist lock mechanism leaves something to be desired, and when the egg is wet (like when you're trying to wash it), it can be very difficult to open.I was enjoying it until i dropped from my shelf about 2 feet onto the ground and shattered into a million pieces. Not that I would expect any piece of glassware to survive the fall, but I guess it was a pretty good example of the delicacy of this piece and how form exceeds function. If it was $30, I'd buy another, but can't justify it at $55.

This would bring Marie Kondo joy.
This kettle is incredibly sleek and minimal. Cleaning it doesn't require much effort either. A few twists & wipes and it's practically brand new!I recommend it!

It leaves a plastic runny smell to your tea!
I brought this to fine a perfect brewing pot . And this is does not match up to the many reviews I have read .The part where the loose tea is place is really hard to twist and turn , it has opened while brewing leaving a un- drinkable tea!!And it leaves a horrible plastic / rubber smell to the tea! Wish I can return it , badly designed !
