Great inverter. It dropped in as a replacement for my old modified sine-wave that bit the dust. Installation was fairly straightforward although it was a little difficult to attach the 12V cables as they were are large. My old inverter had a hole where you stuck the wire into and then turned a screw that pressed a clamp down making a very secure connection that would accommodate a wide range of wire gauges.The Xantres supplies lots of power, gives an audible warning when the input voltage drops and eventually turns of when the input voltage gets too low. I am not sure why, but the inverter makes my laptop reset when the inverter turns off due to low input voltage.It is very handy to also purchase the remote on/off switch to be able to turn the inverter on/off from a convenient location. It also allows for wiring the system up so that the inverter will only come on when the vehicle engine is running.

The best made for multiple applications, at a reasonable price. Service is something that does not exist however. If something fails, good luck trying to get it fixed. But, they are reliable, and only installer error is the most likely culprit of any error if it occurs.
