Pediatrics Pocketcard Set

Must have for Primary Care!
I highly recommend this card set to anyone who will be doing a pediatrics rotation or who occasionally sees pediatric patients (i.e. the Emergency Room, Urgent Care or Primary Care). It has the quick and dirty for vital signs, treatments for pneumonia and other common illness divided up by age as well as PALS information on the back. It also has things I didn't know were going to be so helpful until my Pediatric rotation, such as the brandnames of different infant formulas and what they are (soy etc).I am about to finish PA School and used this during my Pediatrics rotation and every primary care rotation after that. I still recommend it to my classmates who all ended up using it and buying one of their own to keep. This is a well designed reference card set that you can easily keep in your white coat pocket and a must have for Primary Care.

Helpful
As a FNP student with little knowledge on pediatrics, this has been a great quick reference for my peds rotation. This wont replace the textbook but for the novice peds practitioner, it is a great tool to to have with you.

Very helpful cards
Very convenient! Contain a lot of great info like current vaccination schedule, frequent peds diagnoses with the antibiotic treatment of choice. Great to have at your fingertips!

Awesome
Helps a lot when working with kids. A fellow partner loved them and I had to give him the cards. I am waiting for a new set.

More focused on inpatient pediatric nursing if that is what you are looking for. I wont use 75% of this in an outpatient clinic.

Poor quality
Good information, but quality of cards could have been better. Quickly came apart at the circular binding in corner. When snapped back together, it remained loose. Not worth the aggravation for the price.

Not quite pocket sized!
Really useful for working on the wards, with an awful lot of information crammed onto the two sides. It might be more useful to have this as a series of smaller cards that could be attached to my name badge though, as this is definitely too big to fit into your pocket!!

Fast delivery and helpful information
Lots of information on the cards, such as Apgar score, reflexes, weight and height, developmental stages, blood, urine analyses, CSF, vital signs, nutrition and formulas, IV fluids, immunisation (a bit outdated though), metabolic disorders, rashes, urinary infections, pneumonia, meningitis, seizures, arrhythmias (treatment included for all listed), Glasgow coma scale (children), paediatric ALS and and emergency drugs and doses.Pocket size is a big plus.
