DO NOT BUY-- keyboard malfunctions after 4 months
The quality of the keyboard sucks!!! Simply put. I bought this product mainly because I needed the keyboard. I could have gotten just the case for a lot less, but I needed a working keyboard so after reading reviews, I bought this one. I barely started using my keyboard and after 3.5-4 months, it just suddenly stopped working properly. Half of the keys on the keyboard stopped responding!! Which makes it impossible to type anything. I am very unhappy with the quality of the product if it breaks on you after a few months. QQ tech only guarantees it for 60 days SO BEWARE!!!! There are better products out there. I don't recommend this at all.I also think the response I got from QQ tech was unreasonable--and unacceptable in my opinion as a retailer on Amazon. I've pasted the email conversation between us below. This is the type of vendor to be wary of on Amazon. They don't stand behind their products, and refused to give me another keyboard. I didn't want to return it, I only wanted another keyboard since the one I got was faulty:Me:"Hello, the keyboard has stopped responding even when fully charged. Half of the keys have stopped responding, like the back space key which makes it impossible to use.I do not want to return the keyboard/case, I just want a keyboard that fully works. Would you be able to send me a new keyboard? I don't need another case, I just need a keyboard. In the black color."QQ tech response:"Hi friend,Generally all our products only carry 60 days refund/free replacement warranty. As we checked, your item was out of our warranty. However, we do not want to disappoint you. Though we won't be able to do a refund or exchange a new one for you, you can send it back to the manufacture in China for service, and you might be charged the both-way shipping and material fees(if needed to fix the problem). Appreciate your understanding and patience. pls inform us what you think of the solution.thanks"QQ-techMe:"I think that it is quite unreasonable/ borderline ridiculous to ask me to ship the keyboard to the manufacturer in China to fix the problem, when shipping alone would cost more than just re-purchasing a new keypad!!I am definitely not satisfied with your product. Although you didn't manufacture it, you are the vendor selling it, and a retailer you should stand by the products that you sell. It should be your responsibility (as the vendor) to deal with the manufacturer that made this faulty product instead of the buyer.I've only had the item for about 4 months, and it just suddenly stopped working. I have barely used this item and it's already malfunctioned. The product that was sent to me was faulty to begin with, so I don't understand why you are not responsible for replacing it.I appreciate you responding back to me, but the solution proposed is highly unrealistic/laughable. Even if I were to ship this keyboard to the manufacturer, both you and I, know that they are highly unlikely to respond and send me a new keyboard.I still think you should send me a new keyboard."QQ tech:sorry for the problem.End of Conversation. Buyer be wary!

Great little keyboard and case, one stupid character location
Other reviews really hit the high points so I'll summarize a few other things I've noticed to round out what you can expect. This is an excellent value. $30 for a solid little bluetooth keyboard and very nice looking and feeling leather case. The removability of the keyboard is a nice bonus, and the case is compatible with the auto-lock feature on the iPad Mini (shut the case and the iPad locks, open the case and the screen comes on).Any mini keyboard will have some compromises on what keys are included or excluded (no F1, F2, etc keys), but this keyboard makes pretty good use of the Fn key to add functions. The only criticism I have is that the apostrophe key is in a stupid location. Instead of placing the apostrophe on the same row as a regular QWERTY keyboard, they moved it to a function location two keys to the left. Under your right pinky finger is the standard colon/semicolon and then further right is the 'enter' key. Clearly they could only fit so many keys across due to the iPad mini's width, but who needs a colon key on a regular basis? They should have placed the apostrophe there instead. Now I have to either look down at the keypad and interrupt my typing to get an apostrophe or just let autocorrect figure out I'm trying to type something like 'won't' instead of 'wont'. It's a small but real oversight. The challenge is trying to figure out keyboard layout of any of these keyboards prior to purchasing. This would be a 5 star review if they got the apostrophe key correct.

Great but not perfect
The product over all is great quality but it isn't perfect. The keyboard is really good, it may take a few sentences or paragraphs to typing on a smaller than standard size keyboard, but after just a little bit of practice, i can almost type my full desktop speed 5 stars there. The keyboard is easily detachable which is also great, another 5 stars there. So far, the build quality is also really great so another 5 stars there. The stand is at a great angle, and works on a variety of surfaces, as we speak I am using it to type on my bed. Why I gave this product 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the magnetic activation of the product. Every time you open the case it does turn on the iPad, which is great. But sometimes the iPad turns on and off while the case is closed, after a little bit of adjusting, this problem is almost gone, but still there rarely not too big of a problem at all. However sometimes when you fold the product back on it self, so that it appears to be a tablet, when you are not using the keyboard, it toggles the iPad lockscreen on and off. This is kind of annoying because sometimes you are working on something and you press the screen just a tad too hard and it turns the lockscreen on. Other times i fold it over to rest it on a table and it sometimes turns it self off So I have to give the magnetic system 2.5/5 stars, And that's why I give this product 4/5 stars.
