Sturdy with double locking mechanism
I take safety seriously, and when it came to finding the perfect jack stand, I had a checklist of criteria that I couldn't compromise on. First and foremost, I needed a jack stand with a double locking mechanism. This was non-negotiable for me because I had heard about the unfortunate incidents involving Harbor Freight jack stand failures. Safety had to be the top priority, and a double locking mechanism provided that extra layer of security and peace of mind. Another crucial factor on my list was the quality of welds on the base of the jack stand. Inadequate welding can lead to structural weaknesses and compromise safety. I didn't want to take any chances, so I looked for jack stands with high-quality welds. This ensured that the stand would be sturdy and dependable, capable of withstanding the weight of my lifted large SUVs and trucks without any concerns. Speaking of lifting large vehicles, the third criterion was the height of the jack stands. Given the size of my vehicles, I needed jack stands that could provide ample clearance. These jack stands fit the bill perfectly by offering the necessary height to work comfortably and safely under my vehicles. I couldn't be happier with my choice of jack stands. They met all my safety requirements with a double locking mechanism, excellent weld quality, and the right height for my needs. These jack stands have given me the confidence to work on my vehicles without any worries, and that's priceless when it comes to ensuring the safety of both myself and my prized vehicles.

These Will Give you Peace of Mind Under the Car
I have a set of 4 harbor freight 3 ton jack stands that I've been using for several years without issue; however, in the back of my mind, I always questioned why there was not a security pin included. I've been doing more work on my cars lately, so I finally broke down and bought 4 of the Pro-LifT jack stands. I've included some picture as part of my review (Note: I am just a pleased customer and paid full price for these jack stands). First off, these stands are very sturdy and well made. Without extending the jack stand arm, you will get a base height of roughly 15" and just a little over 23" if you extend it all the way up. I feel much better under the car when using these jack stands with the security pin in place. As you can see from the picture, the security pin engages the arm tooth fully in addition to the ratcheting arm, which is usually the only thing most jack stands have, so there really is no chance of the arm slipping out from the locked position with this double protection. The welds on the stands as well as the fit and finish were very good. The only flaw I could see was on one corner of one of the feet, there were some bubbles in the weld bead. It was still welded very well, so this small defect did not bother me in the least. The jack stands are even when placed on a level surface and have no wobble whatsoever. Overall I'm happy with these stands and I would recommend them. I hope this review is Helpful to someone!

Strong, good quality
I was very skeptic in purchasing these online. But I will admit I’ve had them for several years now, and I have no regret. They have been great in lifting both my 3 inch and 4 inch jeeps. They are sturdy and made out of good quality.

A much safer set of jack stands
I purchased two sets of these 6-ton jack stands to replace Harbor Freight Jack stands that were recalled due to actual failures of the ratchet system. The ratchet/pawl system is essentially the same in almost all similarly designed jack stands, and therefore this potential flaw exists in essentially all of these stands that do not incorporate some kind of secondary safety feature. Most jack stands are not exactly precision manufactured devices. The saddle/head castings being the most questionable components due to primitive sand-cast production methods. These jack stands use cast saddles/heads as well, but I noticed right away the ratchet teeth showed a smoother casting process, and/or the castings are finished with much greater care to ensure the ratchet teeth are consistent and more precise than other jack stands. More importantly, the added pin/lock ensures any sudden weight and/or load shift will not cause a potentially adhered jack stand saddle (the saddle sticking to undercoating on the support point for example) to lift the head high enough to cause a poorly cast ratchet tooth to slip past the pawl and collapse. Another common flaw is the cheap painting process almost always results in the pawl and handle sticking in an unlocked position. Again, these stands demonstrate a higher quality and standard in the coating process, appearing to be powder coated instead of the saddle/ratchet and pawl portions being dipped in what typically would be some kind of enamel or heavy oil pasted paint product - which inevitably leads to excess paint and sticking of the ratchet system. The body of this jack stand is constructed essentially the same as other similar jack stands designs as well, which is rarely an issue related to safety. The welds are more than sufficient and are of good quality. To address some of the downgrades and whining by some of the individuals here: yes, the factory boxes leave a lot to be desired, but damage due to how they were boxed and shipped by Amazon should be critiqued in that area, not here. Most factory boxes are not intended to be primary shipping boxes and won’t hold up, unless the shipping box protects the items. As for the complaints regarding scratches due to this... this isn’t intended for display on your mantle, and if you actually use these for their intended purpose, they should get lots of scratches. Perhaps they will produce a set of polished and chromed ones, shipped in beautiful display cases for those with aesthetic issues, to quell the sniveling. Who knows. But given the number of finish complaints, you would think there is a market for that kind of thing. Me - I use them to support my car when I need to get under it. It’s really not a neat or clean endeavor either. As for the individual who complained the company name was “misleading”... you have no business getting under a car if you don’t know what a jack stand is - and that a sub $60 set clearly won’t provide any “lift”, they just support the weight of the vehicle, like all “jack stands” do. Anyway - back to the product... The added safety features incorporated into these stands would be well worth a price premium... but there really isn’t one. These are competitively priced with less safe offerings on Amazon and elsewhere - so it’s really a no-brained buying these. I bought two sets of both the 3 and the 6 ton versions of this stand.

Nice, with a couple of small issues.
1) I agree with the packing issue as the lift bar(s) was hanging out of the box, and both were missing paint. 2) They are both marked 6 ton, however it is unclear if these are 6 ton each or 6 ton combined. Both arguments are presented but not clarified. In fact the questions presented in the Q&A offer both results. 3) Other than the 2 issues, they appear well built with good welds and worked to secure my Dodge 3500 while I worked underneath the vehicle.

Sturdy and locking, but check clearances!
These jackstands are a great value. Sturdy, easy to use locking pins, and no issues with the welds on the one I received. I used them to support my Honda S2000 for a recent clutch job and the car was very stable with plenty of height to do the job. The only things I'd note: The minimum height is quite high, especially if you're working on sports cars or cars smaller than an CUV/SUV. So if you only need to do jobs like brakes/tire rotations and prefer to raise your car only as low as necessary, you might consider shorter, lighter-duty stands. Especially because these jackstands are huge and likely won't fit in a normal size toolbox like 3T jackstands would. Also, the jackstand "mouth" (red part) is quite wide. On some cars, when supporting the pinch welds, this may contact the "mouth" into the side skirt or underbody plastics of the car -- for that reason, I didn't use them with my old 2008 VW GTI. Other than that, these jackstands work great with my other cars (including a newer VW GTI and other Hondas). Highly recommended if they fit your car and you have a jack that goes high enough to reach the minimum height.

Excellent Stands For The Money...Well, Just Excellent Period
Bought 4 of these to replace another set of chinesium jack stands that I had purchased from a seller that's now having issues. I am very happy with these replacements. First off, the retro baby blue and red powder coat is legit. Very cool looking to me. Second, the double lock is a great feature, but maybe not only in the way you think. Because of the way it's designed, the lock pin on these stands does not actually engage the anvil under normal circumstances. This is a feature, not a bug. The fact that it doesn't engage allows for it to be slipped in and out very easily (which is key when you're reaching far under the car to set the stand up with one hand. The pin then serves two functions. First, it blocks the handle from disengaging main paw from the anvil, so there is no way you'll accidentally kick the handle and have the stand fall. Second is functions as a fail-safe. In the event that the anvil or main paw were to break at the tooth, the pin will catch a different tooth and hold the load. Very neat engineering. Quality of the welds on mine are very good, 3 out of the 4 sit perfectly flat out of the box. The 4th only has a slight wobble that will no doubt disappear under load. Overall, I would highly recommend these.

Great value, still look brand new after 5 years of hard use
These were the first jack stands I ever got, I purchased 4 so I could lift up my E90 and do some work on it. I have done countless things with these jack stands since then including lots of extensive work on my Chevy Blazer, the stands are currently holding my Dana 60 axle I'm preparing to swap into the blazer. I never have an ounce of worry when going under a vehicle with these jack stands holding it up, they are very sturdy, additionally, they have a lock so in case something does go wrong, they still won't drop the load. I see these jack stands lasting for the foreseeable future as even with 5 years of hard outdoor use, they aren't showing signs of wear or rusting. (disclaimer: they are stored in a garage when not in use)

Good quality
These are the best money can buy! I love the added safety added with the locking pin. I never seen it on other brands and I always felt unsafe using similar products that did not had this feature. This should be a must for all brands. Keep in mind they are pretty high, they won't work with regular sedans. At the lowest level it is still way to tall for a regular car. I have a BMW X6M SUV and just for a simple wheel removal they don't fit under unless I completely remove the red part. So basically I am only using the gray part of the stand. If I want to add the red part as well I need to raise my car another 10cm
