Great!
My 14 yr old son loves this laptop. The app only problem is the space. But you can buy external storage and works just fine.

Great Computer
I use mine mostly for Sims with mods, but I also use it for homework as I’m in college. Has been great so far and I’ve had it for about a year.

Second one purchased and do not buy the extra protection plan!
First one worked fine and I did purchase the 2 year protection plan. Plan is good thing/not a good thing depending on one's perspective. The headphone port gave out a WEEK after the manufacturer warranty ended. Good, right? Well not so fast... Asurion protection plan sent a box with pre-paid label and off to the Buffalo,NY area "Depot" for repair it went. Got a message three days later that computer was not repairable (?). See, the headphone port is attached permanently to the motherboard, (The guts of the computer) and the motherboard CAN be replaced, though this exceeded the dollar limit for labor/materials the "Depot" worked out with Asurion. So I got a full credit for the price paid on Amazon, not a cash refund. Come to find out that the credit can only be spent on Amazon and the replacement now costs more than my original computer a year ago. The "Depot" is nothing more than a light repair shop that replaces low dollar amount parts such as cooling fans only and if computer deemed outside of max. dollar amount to repair, keeps the computer, tears it down and re-sells the parts to others. In effect when the computer is sent in for repair, it becomes property of the "Depot" when it is deemed too expensive to repair. "Depot" / Asurion will not send back damaged computer.Ended up buying a used replacement in excellent condition for less. 'Nuff said.

One Year Later
I purchased the laptop over one year ago. Soon as I received it I upgraded the RAM to the maximum and added several external drives. Upgraded with the latest Samsung hardware only. I'm not a gamer but require a hefty system at a bang for the buck price. This laptop has performed outstandingly without any issues. My experience with computer systems began with mainframes in the early 70's, I know my stuff.I highly recommend this laptop.

Great buy for the money.
Bought two of them. One for my daughter to use for light gaming, one for us as a portable business laptop to display 3D renderings for clients. Exterior shell is sturdy enough to survive in a teenagers chaotic bedroom as well as transport to a client's home. TouchPad, screen all first rate- as ASUS normally does. First thing I did for both was upgrade the RAM to 32 GB. Asus makes swapping out RAM easy. The shell is designed to be removed. So for around $650 each, We were able to get a Ryzen six core, 32 GB 17 in truly portable laptop made with top quality materials. Works well for gaming and works well for CAD. That's a bargain.

Amazing gaming PC
I love this laptop. The battery lasts for hours even while playing and streaming my games. I mainly play League of Legends and I also use this laptop for work so a long battery life is a must. The display is crystal clear, the keyboard has light up customizable options, and the speakers are killer. Best bang for your buck right here for a start up ready to game laptop.

Excellent product and customer service!
Great product. The laptop arrived promptly, well packaged and it was as described. Joe provided excellent customer service and communication during and after the laptop arrived. He took the time to resolve a small customization issue I was having which provided me with exactly what I wanted. I'm a very happy customer and would buy again.

additional hard drive
great overall laptop although I'd like to add a second hard drive. Asus wasn't any help over the phone, Hopefully someone will see this comment and let me know of any suggestions. there doesn't seem to be a second m.2 slot, there is space for a sata SSD but still wondering how to hook it up. Cheers!
