Great little grinder!
I'm gonna be honest, I was not expecting much when I purchased this. I was worried and researched endlessly for a grinder that fit our budget AND could grind my wheat berries into usable flour for my sourdough bread. I wanted hand crank because it will never fail unless my arms fail, but I feared my arms would fail if I had to grind for hours to get enough flour for a loaf.So maybe my previous negative bias is making this grinder seem even better than it is. I mean, I have had ground meat, nuts, and other sundries with the old cast iron grinders in the past. And boy, was that a chore! So when I set up this new grinder and started grinding rice to prep it for flour, I was bracing myself to hate it. 15 minutes later I had a relatively fine grind of rice that actually amazed me.When I moved on to my precious wheat berries, I found I could roughly grind 2 cups in about 15 minutes, then tighten the burrs for a fine powder and finish a fine flour in another 20 minutes or so.The first time I used it I attached it to an antique Hoosier hutch and it did not scratch the wood surface despite all the wobbling. Since then I have found a way to attach it to our kitchen island, just in case it starts scratching surfaces with wear. So far so good.As for the flour... I have baked 4-5 loaves of sourdough with it so far and they are wonderful. Mind you, a lot of that is wheat quality, etc but I have noticed no major issues with coarse flour, chunkiness, heaviness...Also, I am not as fit as I once was, so I expected this to be a bit brutal, but I have found that I enjoy grinding my grain when I have the extra time. Its a light workout depending on how much you need to grind, but certainly nothing terribly fatiguing, even for a middle aged, somewhat overweight woman. 🤣 If I can do it, so can you! Promise. All you need is a bit of patience and a good book or podcast to entertain you. Finally, a bit of advice... 1. Don't fill the hopper all the way. Just add enough grain to fill the grinding area and continue trickling it in. The more full the hopper, the tougher it is to grind. 2. If you want fine flour, don't try to grind it fine right away. Run the grains thru on a loose/coarse grind first to break them up a bit (see my pic), then run the coarse ground wheat thru the mill set to fine grind. And voilà! Beautiful, healthy, delish flour!I am so pleasantly surprised by this little grinder that I really did want to share with others who may also have their doubts. If you want to bake a little bread from home-ground flour, this is an excellent machine. I wouldn't want to grind more than 1000 grams or so in a day, but thats enough for a few loaves of bread for many basic recipes. It is easy to use, effective and affordable. I definitely recommend!*Note: I haven't yet ground anything but rice and whole wheat in it, so I can't speak to spices, flax, etc. I can't imagine it will do a bad job with those either tho.

Love it, does it's job splendidly
I love this, firstly great arm workout 💪🏻 😅 secondly I currently dont have a 'good' spot to mount this it does slip around a little especially if your bowl to catch the fresh milled flower is on the short side. Some of the flower can escape and managed to get under the clapped part which made it wiggle around a lot more, but honestly it does its job and mills fine flower for baking. For the price its great, be prepared for an arm work out though.

Finished product is good.
Only used it once so far. I like how it performs. Definitely takes a little effort but the effort is worth the finished product.

Nice little grinder.
It grinds nice. It seems well built. It takes awhile to grind, depending on what kind of grain you are grinding. We might end up getting the moter for it.

Waste of time and money.
Don't buy this. Groats escape the under the shute into the bowl you are grinding into. I spent a lot of time picking the wheat groats out of the flour. I also had to hunt all over the house for a table that the clamp would fit as it wouldn't clamp securely anywhere in the kitchen. The clamp did not secure the mill. At one point the whole thing came loose and sailed across the room scattering flour and grain all over the floor. It was a total waste of money. Look elsewhere.

Does a great job of grinding wheat berries!
My counters aren’t constructed to hold the clamp on this grinder but I finally found a place for it and gave it a test run. I ground about a half cup of wheat berries and did a beautiful job. I haven’t tried anything else yet but I would definitely recommend.

Does the job but moves a LOT
I am new to milling my own flour and this is the first mill I have ever purchased. I have had it for almost 2 months now and use about every other day.Let me start with positives. It is made/assembled in America with "domestic and foreign components."It can be used without electricityIt does a fine jobIt has not scratched my granite countertop (I was nervous about that)Price point is good. Now the negative: it moves too much when milling, even when clamped down as hard as I possibly can tighten. This makes the process so aggravating having to stop every 30 seconds or so, pushing it in and tightening the clamp again as hard as I can. There is nowhere to really grab and hold it secure to help with the movement. Now, I am so happy to have my own freshly milled flour for <$100 and a product made(ish) in America so I continue on. But if you have the funds to purchase a better one... I would. If not, just know its gonna be a chore.

small batch machine
Works well for small 2 to 4 up batches, not a tool for doing pounds at a time. Sometimes ran through twice to get flour liker grind.

Like this
got this as a replacement for one that I recently lost . for it being so small it does it job can grind 2cups or grains in about 5mins it also acts as a good way to work out your arm at no extra cost :P would buy againWould be nice if they used stronger plastic when grinding it bends a little but still works

Not for flour good for pepper
Contains lots of single use non-recyclable plastic, even the box is plastic coated so it also can't be recycled. The product itself is not the best, it claims to be assembled in USA made from parts made in China so it is not an Americanproduct as it claims, so it should be cheaper. It does grind but you need to put your grains through at least 4 times each time getting finer to end up with a course flour. It needs to be clamped down very tight or it will move around. It spits out the ground product everywhere so you need a large container to grind into., but it can only be a maximum of 9cm tall.It is better to use for grinding pepper not for making flour.

Moves too much during grinding
I had to return it because it wouldn’t clamp onto my table as the lip isn’t long enough. They should have rubber grips on the clamps to really stick to the table as it jumps around and moves a lot during the grinding.
