Lightweight with a matte look, contains Ascorbyl Glucoside and Acerola
I have been using Clarins Bright Plus during the day and at night. It absorbs very nicely and has a matte look. It doesn't make my skin feel dry, but it isn't super hydrating either. It leaves my normal but "mature" skin balanced. I use it after cleansing and toning and follow it with a moisturizer with niacinamide. The white glass bottle with the rose gold cap looks modern and elegant. The cap I received had a little ding in it, but I just turned it aroundI like that this product is rich in Vitamin C thanks to Ascorbyl Glucoside and Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Fruit Extract. I'm a big fan of Vitamin C for brightening my skin and giving it a little glow. But, I recommend pairing it with niacinamide. I've been targeting some dark spots on my face with the use of products with Vitamin C and niacinamide, and I've seen noticeable improvement over the past year. It isn't a quick fix though, so be consistent and give it time.Ingredients: AQUA/WATER/EAU. GLYCERIN. CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE. PENTYLENE GLYCOL. BUTYLENE GLYCOL. ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE. Bright Plus Targeting ESSENCE (Not Emulsion) Clarifies & Adds Moisture, May Fade Spots Over Time
Review of Clarins Bright Plus Dark Spot Targeting Treatment Essence (the Essence): I requested the Bright Plus Moisturizing Emulsion but instead received the Essence. It targets combination to oily skin, while my skin type is dry and also sensitive and mature (55+). I normally press an essence into my cleansed and toned skin. For my skin type, however, I use this Essence like a hybrid toner/essence and wipe my skin at times like a toner and other times press it into my skin for moisture and ingredients that can benefit skin tone (or both). This Essence works well for me, though Clarins does make a milky essence that sounds more ideal for my dry skin. It’s good for me as an alcohol free toner as it removes residual makeup, sunscreen and grime and clarifies my skin without drying or stinging my skin. It’s also good as an essence or treatment as it imparts some moisture and has ingredients such as Vitamin C with potential to help with dark spots and skin tone. I get added hydration, though not as much as I get from my usual Korean ferment essence. My skin looks brighter after use, but I don’t yet see improved dark spots. However, I typically need to use a product regularly for at least a month to see fading and haven’t used this long enough. Also, I’ve used potent Vitamin C as a daily staple for so long that I don’t always notice obvious improvement and instead the benefit for me is preventative. This Essence doesn’t irritate my skin. It feels slightly sticky but bad and it gets subsumed by my serum and cream anyway. The added fragrance smells pleasant, but adds unnecessary chemicals. Overall, it’s a nice product. Like it. 4 stars. Made in France.

Saw no difference
I’ve been using this product for some time now. I can’t say I’ve noticed any significant differences. My skin is pretty much the same as before I started. None of my acne scars were noticeably lightened. I like the fresh scent this product has. It’s not overwhelming at all and feels very clean. I’m going to continue using this product for another month and will update if I see any changes.

Smells amazing
I wanted to try this moisturizer to see if it brightens my face at all. I'm only 36, so I may not have the type of spots yet that this serum targets. I haven't noticed any change in my complexion. It works well as a moisturizer, and the smell is beautifully light and floral. I have noticed that it feels a bit oily for my liking. With my skin type, I won't be using it much over the summer. But in the winter I think it will be perfect.

Refreshing hydrating emulsion 💧 ☀️
I’m pretty new to Clarins brand skin care. This is the second skin care product I’ve tried. (in addition to my Clarisonic Mia 2 cleanser I got last year) I must say I am pretty impressed with Clarins skin care products! This emulsion feels silky and light weight on application. It absorbs fairly quickly leaving a non greasy or tacky texture to my skin. I’ve been using this emulsion for a little over two weeks now and I have noticed that my skin is more hydrated, softer and slightly brighter since I started adding this to my morning skin care routines. It hasn’t lightens my slight dark spots yet but, I’m optimistic given how naturally radiant my skin has started to look since I started this emulsion. This emulsion has fantastic ingredients and has worked beautifully with my occasionally sensitive skin. Since I started adding this emulsion to my skin care routine I did not experience any adverse side effects or purging. All in all I and loving how radiant, hydrated and naturally healthy my skin looks since I started this emulsion. I’m very happy with this Clarins emulsion and would highly recommend it!!

EXPENSIVE, MINIMAL EFFECT
This feels and smells nice, but it is not noticeably moisturizing. Maybe okay if you have oilier skin. I previously used vitamin C products and did not notice any difference in tone or spots with this one. Unclear how much C is in it.Underwhelming, especially at this price.
