I’m giving this product 5 stars even though I had a problem upon receipt of my order. Instead of 2 filters, there was only one. I called Amazon and requested another be sent to equal the two I paid for. Instead, I was told to keep the one filter that came and issued a full refund. So I got a free filter. Nothing to be upset about there. I read reviews that this brand is not comparable to actual Honeywell filters, are much thinner, etc. That is not my feeling at all. I am very pleased with how the mistake was corrected, value for the price and functionality of the item itself.

As written in my headline, this pre filter is only half as thick as the pre filter that came with my Honeywell air cleaner.I ended up installing both, assuming that will give about the same protection of the main hepa filter.

I have one of the round huge air filters I got from a garage sale,,,I've cleaned off the carbon rap around so many times. Now I've got a new one and one in the bag...all I had to do was use the scissors to cut it to fit.. I say go for it...

These filters from Breather Naturally via Amazon are much lower quality and much less dense than the OEM filters. You can easily see through them, enough to read headlines in a newspaper. This is unlike the OEM filters which are very dense and you can barely see light through them. I looked at the cheap replacement filter and a piece of new OEM filter I had through a microscope and the replacement filter is just very thin strands of plastic with no sign of anything that might be charcoal particles. The OEM filter is much more substantial and has what appears to be coating on the fibers. The replacement filters also have a slight musty odor to them kind of like dirty socks, unlike the OEM filters I have had which left the room smelling fresh and clean. The replacement filters left the room smelling worse than before I installed it, even after 24 hours of use. I think these replacements are not much more than cheap black foam. All these vendors describe the product as Honeywell replacement filters, but that refers to the size only, not the material or quality. You get what you pay for.

Actually fits! Just dug this old air cleaner out of the garage after sitting for about 10 years - didn't know anyone still made filters for it. Bonus - includes 2 filters AND velcro strips to hold them in place.

Vacuum them off every few weeks and they will last longer
