Serves its purpose
I wanted a USB hub that also made me laugh a bit. Well this works well, powers what it needs to with sturdy and secure USB outlets. Plus the toy aspect is just silly and fun. The switches and whole case (minus the plastic red button shield) are solid metal construction and when I press the red button it makes a fairly audible explosion noise which lasts about 5 seconds. Be careful using this at work because it will be heard up to 3 cubicles away (I tested mine after most people left for the day). It doesnt have an external power cord though so I assume I cant overload it with electricity heavy connections but right now I have a soda can cooling fridge, a coffee mug warmer, and a mini usb powered ferris wheel connect to it and it works fine. It also comes in a funny looking box with skull and crossbones, hazard stripes, and all chinese writing all over it for added effect.

Switches are alot better than I expected
4 stars just because the buttons don't turn on the usb ports. That would have been so much cooler other than that it's really cool and fun I'm excited to have it. The red light flashes after you bush the button

Did not work!
Came in broken. Won't turn on. Don't know what to do. Probably to late.

I loved this thing - for about 24 hours
I loved this thing - for about 24 hours. It's a lot of fun and a great desktop conversation piece.Until the sound stops working, which it did on mine the day after I got it.Kind of sad, as it's a neat little toy and certainly seemed sturdy enough.

Works a little too well
I had expected at least a short delay between the button-press and the promised destruction. Unfortunately, there is about a one-second delay. On the one hand, during the complete demolition of my obsolete evil headquarters to make way for a completely new one, I had the rare opportunity to witness the destruction from the inside. On the other, I now need a few hundred new henchpeople. Send me your resumes.

Something interesting for the desk...
First off, I purchased mine through ThinkGeek and it has been a fun item to have on the desk that is also useful.I have no issues with Windows 7 and would have to say the OS should have no issue with arming the fire button, as was previously mentioned power to usb ports can vary from front to back and side to side on laptops.
