Why keep kept out of direct sun? Got for Asian beetles who are attracted to light and sun. What happens if put in window jam in direct sun?

these are not good at all. they are like contact paper, thin and very difficult to use.

Basically they starve to death because they are stuck and cannot get out. Even the larger bugs, like the locusts and grasshoppers, die that wat too.
