More scary than I thought
So this is a remaster of a phone game, and I have to say the atmosphere is really good. I was scared just walking around. The ghost that haunt the school are great, although I haven't gotten the full experience as I played on normal difficulty. For those reading this the game will have more haunts going around on higher difficulty. For me the maneuvering around the custodians slowly felt like a chore as I want to go to a different location and be denied because the custodian was camping my location. For 100% of the game, you have to beat the game all endings on all difficulties. Which comes off more as a chore to do. I found out this game has costumes for the girls, for the PS4 you can unlock them for the three girls by their endings, or an outfit for other characters by collecting all the ghost stories or collecting the collectibles hidden, as well as get all endings. Although their are more outfits that you can't get as the PSN does not have them anymore so those are just a tease. If you want those best to buy the switch or PS5 version. This is a game that I would highly recommend, as it has a lot of what makes horror good. You have times events that are wonderful, great monsters, and a fun alternative branches in the story from conversations with the three girls. My favorite of the girls was Kim Seong-a.

Creepy
I stumbled on this game by accident but after reading about it I was so excited for it. The game without a doubt did not disappoint. The art of the game is very good and the game itself is creepy. It's very hard to even creep me out but this game does it perfectly. Personally the scariest thing about it is the crazy dude in the school. The reason is because of not knowing where he is; and the thought that he might sneak up behind you. I highly recommend checking this game out for some creepy fun!

Here's the scoop.
I like to think of myself as a horror aficionado. This game does have super creepy ghoolies and is RICH with puzzles. Some of the puzzles are a bit convoluted in my opinion. If you just want a spooky game and not something that makes you think a lot..this isn't for you. The Janitors are mad men and will beat you to death. This game has several endings and several difficulties. It is a run and hide horror game not unlike outlast. It's not as scary as outlast. There are a lot of repetitive jump scare tactics that grow old pretty fast. It's fun to play for a little bit doesn't rank very highly for me in the horror. All said decent puzzle game, just not as scary as it's made out to be.

Creepy vibes
Very fun and scary game, not just the pop ups but the stuff some of the characters say give a creepy vibe. At times the game gets frustrating because it can be difficult to get away from the janitor and he always pops up really close to you. Other then that it’s a good game worth playing

Decent, but not very scary
It is alright, but definitly not an overall very scary game. In a lot of ways it reminds me of the original Resident Evil mixed with a bit of Amnesia: The Dark Descent.Story: Tomorrow is White Day (think Valentines Day, but it is specifically for boys to give girls candy.) You play as Hee-Min Lee, a high school boy who has a crush on a girl named So-Young Han. One day, So-Young forgets her diary on a bench outside of the school. Hee-Min uses the opprotunity to suprise her with candy and return her diary by sneeking into the school late at night. Unfortunatly, the school is insanely haunted thanks to being a hospital during the Korean War and a series of disturbing events in the years that followed. In addition to ghosts, you will also need to sneak past the murderous janitors stalking the halls with their baseball bats. Can you survive until tomorrow? That is the entire plot of the game. On it's own it sounds really cliché, and sadly it kinda is.Gameplay: Some parts of this game are a lot of fun. Most of the puzzles require quite a bit of thought to work out, and require you to look back through your notes to try to come up with the solutions. There is really only two puzzles in the game that is nearly impossible to figure out. The first one for anyone who does not know kanji/hanji, is the infamous chalkbord puzzle (heads up if you get the game, the middle symbol means "no". You need to subtract what the third symbol has in common with the first symbol.) The other one is when you are in the New Building. You need to put the fuse to the "Security Alarm" position BEFORE you try to put the talisman in place, or you will be stuck in an endless loop of game overs. It does not mention this anywhere in documents that I could find, I had to look it up my first time doing that part.Moving on from the puzzles, this game is also a stealth game, you CANNOT fight back. The janitors are your biggest threat in the game. They only exist to ruin your good mood. Their detection and damage ranges depending on what difficulty you set the game to when you begin. Very Easy, Easy, and Normal will help the player out by giving an eye icon on the top of the screen to let you know if he is around you or if he heard you and is on his way to your location. Hard and Hell modes do not have this feature and his range of sight/hearing is significantly larger to the point where he can hear you through multiple levels in the building if you run. He is also much harder to lose in these difficulties, checking bathroom stalls if he knows you are hiding in the bathroom or walking around in a classroom if he is suspicious instead of just standing in the doorframe. It is so bad that unfortunatly it is borderline unplayable without a decent pair of headphones in these difficulties. The final gameplay I want to talk about is the dialog system, since honestly I do really like how they handle it in this game. During the game you interact with three girls in the main story with an additional girl for new game plus. So-Young (your crush mentioned earlier), Ji-Hyeon (a shy and timid girl in your class you meet at the begining of the game), and Sung-A (a direct and angry girl you meet at the same time as Ji-Hyeon). All of your interactions with them will determine which of 7 main endings you will get (there are technically 10 endings, but 2 are exclusive to NG+ and don't impact the main storyline and 1 is for dying during the game, which doesn't end the story). There are 3 routes to take in the game and depending on whose route you take will fill in more of the backstory behind the school and the characters. Honestly this was overally the best part about replaying the game, given that all puzzles are solved the same way for each subsequent playthrough (although the solutions are different each time, so you cannot cheat your way through the game) at least you can hear different dialog.Scares: As I said before, this game unfortunatly is not very scary. The atmosphere is decent, but there are only 20 ghosts in the entire game and unless you play on hard, you are limited to about half of that during your playthrough, mostly comprising of manditory bosses, a jumpscare ghost that gives the same jumpscare every time, and MAYBE two other ghosts that you can easily miss on your first playthrough both late in the game. Their corresponding stories are fun to read and you can find all stories on Normal mode or above instead of having to complete hard mode, but they aren't exactly going to leave you shaking in fear and can be a bit convoluted to solve the puzzles associated with them or just straight up hard to find.Overall: I enjoyed this game, I have beaten it 5 times and average 2-3 endings per playthrough (including the death ending and the two choices you have after the final boss for. Save before fighting in the Auditorium. Depending on which route you follow you might not be able to save afterwards. Pick whichever choice you want. After you watch the ending, load up the save, fight the boss again if needed, then choose the opposite of what you picked the first time). If you are at all interested I would say pick it up, but if how I described it makes it seem boring or you are still not sure, this is probably not the game for you.

is pretty good for atmosphere and some jump scares
I could have bought this game on PSN a month prior but whatever. This game, so far, is pretty good for atmosphere and some jump scares. You can have Korean or english voice acting. This is an upscale of an older game that came out in 2001. The graphics are decent but not really fantastic. The story is the winner here not the graphics.
