Dr. Elsey's Litter Box Attractant - Ultra Litter Attractant - 20 oz Pouch - Feline Behavior Modification & Training Tool

Found this stuff after doing an internet search to find out why one of our long time house cats suddenly decided to find a place to pee other than the litter box. For obvious reasons that behavior had to be stopped immediately. We have two indoor cats and three litter boxes (followed the "rule" - one for each cat plus one more) that are scooped out every day. I *very* happy to report that the misbehaving cat is back to using the litter boxes again and zero issues going anywhere else. Success! We did two things: 1) replaced our current boxes with LARGE, DEEP litter pans and filled them very full, 4-5" deep, with litter. Used Nature's Miracle clumping and 2) sprinkled this cat litter attractant into each pan and mixed with the litter. The cat with issues started returning to use to the litter pans after we set up the new large ones, this was a couple days before the attractant arrived. However just to be sure we added this attractant the day it was delivered. I have to say, the day the attractant was added both cats became much more interested in the upstairs pan - which previously was rarely used even before the avoidance issue started (not sure why, but the cats just always liked the two basement pans better). So while it could have been the new pans that helped get the one cat back to using the pans, I have to say that this stuff definitely got both cats using the upstairs pan more often. So for that reason I would recommend this as a litter attractant. The product states to use it with specific cat litter and lists the litter to NOT use it with - e.g. perfumed litters, corn, paper, to name a few. We didn't use it with the recommended litter brand and it seemed to work as an attractant just the same. Not sure if that would be the case for everyone, but that was our experience. Also, the bottle was larger than I expected - so there is plenty of attractant in this 20 ounce bottle. I sealed the container up in a ziplock type bag to store it. As a side note, even though I've owned cats my whole life I can see now why the litter box issue probably developed with the larger cat. Mainly, the pans were too small and not deep enough for the cat to bury everything completely. I figured with cleaning them out every day pan size wouldn't be a problem and these were standard size pans. Well, apparently after awhile it did become a problem. The large pans we have now are about twice the size of our biggest cat and are filled very deep with enough litter that the cats can actually bury their business deep enough that it's not even visible from the top. The only way we even know the cats have been to the pan is their paw prints in the litter. With cleaning them out once a day everything's stayed nice and clean - cats are happy and we're happy.

We have two male (and neutered) cats: CK, who will be 10 in May, and Jackson, who will be three years old in September. We have had both since they were about eight weeks old, and both are strictly indoor kitties. About two months ago, Jackson started to poop occasionally outside of the litter box. We have had the same litter box set-up for years: A jumbo hooded box with Fresh Step Crystal litter, which was scooped every other day and a complete replacement of the litter every six weeks. Having read that we should have one box per cat plus one extra, we added a second hooded box with the same type of litter, and one more box - this one with Pet's Pride clumping litter and no hood - in a different room. This resulted in a LOT more litter being tracked around the house; no use of the third box; and more frequent external poops, always just outside of the original litter box and always on the rubber mats (easy clean-up, thank you Jackson!). We decided to get rid of the third box altogether since no one used it, and we removed the hood from one of the two remaining boxes and replaced the litter in that box with a "4 in 1" clumping litter which was, unfortunately, scented (not strongly). They used both, which were by this point scooped at least one a day, but STILL continued to drop a deuce on the mat daily. I ordered both the attractant and the Cat Attract litter, hoping to correct the outside pooping and also will be taking both kitties to the vet next month regardless. I opened the attractant and added it to the existing clay litter, even though it was lightly scented, and it's been four days since anyone has gone outside the box! I am cautiously optimistic that perhaps the issues are behind us. Nevertheless, I'll replace the 4 in 1 clay litter with the Cat Attract litter in a couple days because it sure as heck won't hurt anyone and it seems these products really do help!

One of my four cats started pooping just outside the box once or twice a week. Since the box is located in the tiled laundry room, it was more of an annoyance rather than a huge problem. I scoop the box at least twice daily and dump, clean and disinfect weekly. I spoke with my vet and she recommended two boxes and if that didn't solve the problem, to use this product. Two boxes did not help so I ordered the Precious Cat. I don't use the recommended litter, I use another brand for multiple cats that is scented but controls the urine odor very well. Possibly this is why it did not completely solve the issue. However, each time I change the litter, I mix a generous amount of the attractant into the litter and it has changed the problem from one of obviously intentional pooping outside the box on a regular basis to an 'oops, I missed the box a little bit' issue. The result is a couple of misses outside the box maybe once every 4-6 weeks. Much improved over what it was before.

I 100% this product was a joke, but thought just give it a try, my old cat has FIC, and in the middle of the night, actually any time of day, she doesn't like to use her litter box unless I'm in the room?? Odd.. I added a very small amount of this (it smells like cat nip) and she went right to it!!!! Doesn't help the FIC, but it helps her wanting me to be in the room with her!!! I highly recommend this!!

I see from the reviews that this stuff does work for some people which is why I did not leave it just one star. My cat did not care about it. We found her outside, and after a vet found a microchip and called the original owners it turns out that they dumped her in my neighborhood because she does not always use the litterbox. We knew a kitty like that would probably end up being euthanized, so we decided to give her a chance. She did indeed start out urinating and sometimes pooping outside the litterbox. We bought extra litterboxes, we made sure they were cleaned at least once a day, we tried a few different types of litter, and nothing worked. We even got anti-anxiety pills from the vet. Those seemed to make her less "bipoar" but they did not solve the litterbox problem. Finally we picked up the Cat Attract litter after reading some reviews here, and it has worked like a charm. There has been on pee incident on a bath mat in the last month, but otherwise she has been perfect. We left a litterbox with the old litter for the other cat, and even she won't use the old litter anymore. If this Litter Attractant stuff does not work for you, I suggest Cat Attract litter. It's more expensive than the cheap brands of litter, for sure, but it's worth it.

Listen people, my cat was pissing every where! But her most favorite place was my bed! I was almost at my breaking point, I had tried so many different things trying to get my cat to go back to the litter box! She was completely healthy (just a brat). And I cleaned the litter box every day. Anyway this product, this product right here saved my cat’s life (she just doesn’t know it apparently). This stuff works ppl! It’s been 4 weeks without an accident (I’m talking both pee and poop). I haven’t had any more issues! I’m happy, my cat is happy! In fact my cat’s attitude has changed a bit as well. I have noticed that she isn’t showing as much aggression to the other animals and people in the house, so win/win! I highly recommend this product! Especially if you are close to giving up. How did I get the cat pee smell out of my mattress you asked? Well luckily I had a removable mattress topper, I took that thick beast outside and laid it over some lawn chairs put my water hose on jet setting and blasted that pee away. I mean I sprayed it all over the mattress topper and I believe it pushed the pee out(because nothing, no chemicals or essential oils got that smell out). So this was my last attempt before I threw that sucker away. Anyway I hosed it off and let it sit out in the sun all day, it took about 8 hours to dry so make sure you take it out in the early morning. Good news is it worked, the smell is gone, and no more accidents thanks to these amazing herbs you sprinkle into the litter box! Yay!

I've had my cat(named Kitty) for 10 years so when he started using our house as a litter box I was pretty upset. I changed his litter all the time, re-arranged the furniture and he just kept peeing on everything: our couch, our dogs bed, his own bed, rugs, towels, xmas tree skirt. No item was in the same spot, he just wasn't peeing in his box although he was pooping in his box. He has had many urinary tract infections in the past so I know what to look for and he didn't have one. Since I have 15 month old twin daughters and refuse to let them grow up in a "cat pee" house we decided to take Kitty to our local shelter. After crying my eyes out all night, the next day I did ONE more search to try to fix his problem. On one of the websites someone mentioned using Precious Cat Ultra Litter Attractant so I immediatly went to Amazon to check out reviews. I told my husband that I wanted to order the product and give that a try before we took him to the pound. So here is EXACTLY what we did that fixed our cats problem 1st-we ordered this Cat Attractant 2nd-took him to the vet. He did not have a UTI or any other problems that would cause him to pee outside his box. My vet said to switch from our covered litter box to an open litter box because cats don't like being in an enclosed box. We just took the top off of the litter box and he said to empty all of the litter and clean the litter box with vinegar/water. He said that the idea situation would be to use dirt from outside because a cat would love it but there is no way to clean that so to get a natural type of litter. He said to clean the litter box everyday if we could, or every other day. Also to buy another litter box so we had 2. 3rd-the Cat Attractant showed up and we had cleaned his box with the litter and put his old litter back in since we hadn't been to the store. I actually only sprinkled a little bit of this on top of his litter...I did NOT use anywhere near the amount the container says to use. I literally used about 1/4 cup or less-sprinkled on TOP of his litter. I kept one of his litter boxes where it had been and put another litter box in a new location. Within 10 minutes my cat was in the new location, sniffing and then scratching around the litter and he PEE'd in the box! 4th-we got him some natural cat litter Arm & Hammer Essentials Natural Clumping Litter, 10.5-Pounds it is really fine & natural clumping and has a nice smell. My cat really seemed to love that. And I've been scooping his box everynight or every other night. He's not pee'd outside of his litter box since. I definately think the Cat Attract helped to get him to his litter box and that the other things helped him to keep going to his litter box. I'm so Thankful that I decided to try this and did the other things because I love my Kitty. I really recommend the Arm & Hammer Natural litter as well. It is the best clumping litter I have ever used and my cat LOVES it. It also never smells like pee.

I currently have 4 litter boxes in my house, one each on the top 2 levels, and 2 on the ground level. Despite all these enticing choices, my lone cat tends to use only one of the boxes. (And when I say "tends to," I mean 99% of time.) The one he has chosen as his favorite is on the ground floor, in the hall on the way to the garage. Even if he is on the top floor, he will come downstairs to use that box, totally ignoring the ones along the way. There were times he didn't make it all the way downstairs to the box, so my vet recommended Cat Attract Litter. That worked great. He started using the upper boxes sometimes and there were no more accidents. But he still normally only uses that hallway-to-the-garage box. Cat Attract litter is quite expensive compared to the normal stuff. So after a few months of no accidents, I decided to break him of the Cat Attract litter, and start using Precious Cat Ultra Litter Attractant with regular litter. Unfortunately, I foolishly cut back dramatically on the Cat Attract litter before I started using the litter attractant, and once again my cat started peeing outside his favorite box. (So at least I know that the Cat Attract litter worked when I used it!!) As soon as I got the litter attractant, I tried an experiment: I put a sprinkling of attractant on the surface of each of the 4 boxes and mixed it in VERY lightly so that it was still on the surface, but no longer visible. The next day three of the four boxes in the house showed signs of usage, and the one he didn't use is in an area of the house he doesn't spend much time in anyway. Like I said in the review title, not a particularly scientific experiment, but dramatic results. I won't hesitate to buy another bottle before this one runs out.

新しく来た子猫が、たまにトイレ以外の心地よいふわふわのクッション等の上でしてしまう事があったので購入しました。こちらを砂に混ぜて使ってから、間違って使うことが無くなりました。 乾燥した植物のフレークなので検疫に時間が掛かったのか?、到着迄は少し遅かったですがアメリカの猫の掲示板やブリーダーも照会しているだけあって良いものだったと、家の仔に関しては思いました。 匂いは、干し草の匂いで気になるものではありません。

Sadly didn't work for our half here, half sometimes not, semi feral (although we neutered him) tabby. Wanted to get him to use the litter tray like our other cats but he won't. Never mind, will try again in due course.

It says the wight 56kg ,but it lighter than my purse, and its not cheap

Update: this one bag of attractant has lasted me just over a year for one cat with two litter boxes.Excellent value! I'm caring for a very elderly Siamese mix who has sensory processing issues around the litter box. The Cat Attract products have been essential in helping him keep using his litter boxes. He went from improvising locations around the house, to sticking to the box. He still has occasions he will get freaked out and revert to going in front of or next to the box, but that's happened if I've made too big of a change to it for his comfort. I've been able to transition him to a new type of litter three times by sprinkling a heaping tablespoon or two of this attractant over the top to be mixed in. What prompted me to remember to write a review after eight months of success with this product is that I forgot to sprinkle this on top of a new scent of tofu litter yesterday, and he went in front of his box again for the first time in months. He's a good cat I'm happy to support through his golden years, and the cat attract has been transformative and very reasonably priced. I've tried the Feliway pheremone spray, and some repellent spray which idk how effective they are, while this item I KNOW how effective it is.

Esperei 3 semanas de uso para vir aqui dar meu depoimento. Tenho 5 gatos e apenas uma faz xixi fora da caixa de areia . Utilizei o produto , mas infelizmente não adiantou . Ela continuou fazendo xixi em outros locais , mesmo eu tendo colocado conforme indicado em todas as caixas por vários dias .
