Solid, cheap, orange, and fantastic!
I have been using this little orange electron wrangler for a few months now and I have a few preliminary opinions formed.First off, this thing is pretty cheap, and I would not recommend it for a professional as a primary meter (obviously), or even the serious DIY'er. Mainly, it lacks range, overall accuracy, and true RMS functionality. However, for the home-gamer, or as a cheap backup to your Fluke, this little guy is pretty great. The good:The readout is clear and crisp, and the backlight works wonderfully. The lead wires are supple, and the ends do fit into household outlets once you remove the plastic CAT IV covers (duh). The included K-type thermocouple has a long (over 12-inch) reach, and it agrees to within 1 degree Fahrenheit with my other instrumentation up to about 400 degrees. The continuity test is pretty decent, and it has a light and a beeper, which is great in environments where hearing protection is required. The rubber case that surrounds most of the unit is grippy and seems fairly durable. It says the meter can be dropped up to a meter, which could get confusing, but I think I'll go with the metric interpretation in this case. The stand is pretty awesome as well; it pops out of the back and has rubber feet that effectively hold the meter in a good viewing position on most semi-level surfaces. Lastly, this meter is pretty feature-packed, having all the standard gizmos in addition to AC/DC current, frequency, duty cycle, thermocouple temperature, capacitance, and diode testing. It can do quite a bit, even if it can't do it as well as a $200 meter.Safety:This meter features two slow-blow ceramic fuses, which are the industry standard for safety, and will protect you from shrapnel should you accidentally touch the leads to a 1.21-gigawatt power source in continuity mode.Caveats:The HOLD function on this meter is a joke; you put the leads on the circuit, press the HOLD button, and the instantaneous reading is frozen in the display for you to read.Contrast this to Fluke's feature where you push the HOLD button and then hook up the leads and the meter gives you a beep and holds your number on the display once the readings stabilize. Maybe Fluke has a pending patent on this technology - it would be interesting to find out why other companies aren't doing something similar.Still, is this function worth the extra $150+ to someone who isn't a professional? Probably not.Next, the continuity/low resistance tester has a small amount of lag in it. That is, you must create a complete circuit for more than about half a second for the unit to beep, indicating low resistance. This may not be an issue for you, but if you find yourself dragging a lead across a set of pins trying to trace a short, you'll quickly find the lag in the continuity indicator to be a bit of, well, a drag. Still, some of the higher-end meters also have this issue, so it definitely isn't a damnable offense for this little guy to be lacking in this area as well. But, it is something you ought to consider before making your purchase.Overall:This is a decent little meter that can do 90 percent of the things a DIY'er will ask of it.

Very Nice little all-around multimeter.
I haven't used it a lot yet, but from the few times I have used it, it appears to be accurate and definitely easy to use. I like the audible signal when checking for Continuity. This MM420 is capable of everything that I need it to do. Well, most things. It won't measure the mood of my wife, accurately indicate which stock I should invest in, or display warnings if I am in over my head. But for most electrical things, this is a nice little all-around multimeter.

Excellent meter for the price
All functions work as designed, test leads are good quality. For the price, you cant beat it

Good feel, well built
This does everything it says it does, and does it well. Feels solid, and I like how the terminals can attach to the underside to keep them from just dangling. I'm not a huge fan of how it reads low DC volts, but I really only bought this to test HVAC capacitors while the AC is not running. And it does a great job of testing capacitors while the unit isn't running. if you want to test capacitance while the unit is running, get a meter with a clamp around amp meter

Great affordable meter!
Prior to purchasing this I owned a cheap "astro ai" meter that I used for around a year before condemning it after getting some weird readings. When I purchased this meter I was in a shop working primarily on motor coaches. Every reeding I took that condemned a part was double checked using a fluke meter and every time the fluke read identically to this meter. If you're new to any industry that requires use of a multi meter I would highly recommend this Klein. Feels much sturdier and much more quality than the astro ai, so far it's held up great to use in mechanic shops!

Big Features Small Size
I purchased this meter primarily because of the size. It will easily fit in a shirt pocket. I was impressed with all the features that Klein packed into this meter. The oversized display is easy to read although I did note like a previous reviewer that it can be somewhat difficult to see from an angle. I like the side entry test lead jacks. The jacks even light up depending on which function is selected, which may be helpful for less experienced technicians. It has a milliamp function which makes it useful for instrumentation applications. The microamp function works for burner flame signal troubleshooting. The frequency and capacitance and temperature functions are useful for HVAC applications. This meter has just as many features as a Fluke meter costing 4 times as much! It has a ruggedized shell that should protect the meter from daily use and abuse. Overall I am extremely impressed with this thing. Time will tell how it stands up to industrial and home use

Really nice multimeter
This is a good multimeter that comes with an accurate temperature probe that works great for testing oven temperatures, refridgerator/freezer temps for diagnosing problems. Love the lighted display too

Best DMM I've used
I'm an avionics systems technician, I've used a lot of multimeters over the years, this one is the best bang for the buck, by far, it has all the features any common worker will need, it's easy to read and hold, I like having the lead ports on the side.Only thing I noticed when I first started using it was the dial is a little too low profile, can be a little tricky to grasp it.

Easy to use and well made
Pretty straightforward. Love the large display readout and the kickstand. Works as expected and is well made. I wish it came with a carrying bag though. Currently keeping it inside the original blister pack.
