silk texture and noticeable improvement in skin tone
I switched to this from the Dermatica azelaic acid and have really enjoyed using it. The texture is one of the main differences for me. This is more of a slightly thicker serum, whereas Dermatica was a cream. It has no scent, spreads easily and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I use it once a day, usually as one of the first steps after toner. I have concerns about the dropper compared to a pump, but haven't noticed any degradation. It leaves my skin feeling soft and comfortable, not tight or sticky. I have definitely seen an improvement in the overall evenness of my skin tone and a reduction in background redness. I do use it alongside other products, particularly Medik8 Calmwise Colour Correct, so I cannot attribute all the results to this alone. I have used two different azelaic acid products over time, so the improvement may be cumulative. This is my first Geek and Gorgeous purchase and I am impressed. The quality feels high for the price point and I would happily buy it again. I would also be interested in exploring more from the range based on this experience.

It works!
I forgot that I purchased this product and so decide to combine it with tretinoin. The results together have been amazing, especially against diminishing hyperpigmentation that I had on my forehead which after a month or so has now disappeared. I do have sensitive skin and every so often will combine the two together on my face which after a number of days leaves a glass like finish. I also use the product on my nose and at the age of 50 still suffer with oily skin and blocked pores and this either on its on or again combined with tretinoin really does slow down the production of sebum and blackheads. If used every day and esp on the nose, it can be rather drying so use sparingly, maybe once a day or to start with, every other day. Even though I suffer with oily skin, both products together or even on their own, do make my face slightly dry. In this instance, I do use a powdered enzyme exfoliator maybe once a week or every two weeks and only use these products at night, occasionally depending on how blocked my nose can be I will use the acid twice a day.

A good gentle alternative.
Purchased this many times- love it. I use it with Dermatica's Azelaic acid and the combination really works to help gentley resurface the skin (improving texture) and reduce hyperpigmentation. I saw results after about 6 weeks with consistent use (at least 5 times a week). This is also an option for those who find Azelaic acid a bit too irritating for the skin due to it being a derivative serum. Definitely recommend.

Waste of Money
I’ve had this product for a year and have been using it consistently, but honestly, I haven’t seen any of the results that are claimed about it. No noticeable changes in my skin at all, and I’m not satisfied with it. I feel like it’s a waste of money and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Short Product Lifespan once opened!
Everyone's skin is different so take all reviews on skincare products with a grain of salt. However, my concern is about the fact that both bottles I've ordered: Once opened, after a few weeks, a reaction occurs where it becomes flakey when it dries on the skin. I've tested this on a plastic sheet and the same dry flakey residue occured. May be an issue with the batch but it's put me off using it as it seems it has a very short productive lifespan once opened.

I’ve only been using this product a week but I’ve already noticed big changes in my rosacea and spider veins. Would highly recommend.

I have sensitive, oily skin that has become much more reactive in recent years. I've had perioral dermatitis on and off since I was a kid, and it's come back with a vengeance. So many products I used to tolerate well now make my face burn. This product, however, I tolerate very well. I patch tested it before using, of course, but I've had instances where something patch tests fine and then irritates my face when I spread it all over. This not only does not make my face itch, burn or swell, but delivers on the promises it makes pretty quickly: my swelling went down, my redness is much subtler and I have no itching around my nose (which for me is a constant). Naturally other people might be sensitive to this, but if you have similar skin to mine (acne and irritation prone, sensitive, oily) you might do well with this, even if it is an azelaic acid derivative rather than azelaic acid. I can't speak to the data backing it up, but I certainly have had very good results so far.
