Great all around ultra short throw projector
I have had this project for 2 weeks now. My wife and I have been searching for a projector to buy for some time now, we didn't want our son to spend too much on mobile devices and computer screens which can hurt his eyesight. So we thought about investing in a projector. A lot of research went into this, we were orginally going to buy the regular projector since the price is a lot more attractive. However, after seeing this product in action in the local showroom, we were immediately sold. When I saw it became available on Amazon, we jumped on it, buy once cry once! We are really really impressed with it so far. The projector came in nice packaging, very well protected. The set up was easy, the first few days we did not have a screen, so we were projecting onto the wall. The video quality is surprisingly good without any professional screen setup. The biggest benefit I think it's the ultra short throw technology, the laser projector does not have to be mounted on the ceiling across the room anymore. This improves the overall asthestics of the setup, the projector itself is built with high quality and would look good on the TV console. The projector supports a lot of different inputs, we connected the fireTV stick that came with the projector and streaming is easy. May I mention the audio quality coming out of this thing is amazing! The audio quality coming out of this projector is better than some soundbars in my opinion. We then purchased the automatic projector screen, boy what a difference it makes. I have attached sample videos of it, Top Gun never looked so good! Trust me, the video taken on my iPhone does not do justice for this setup. It looks a lot better in real life. The 100" screen is amazing! I have not had a chance to have someone come professionally install the screen yet. So I was just trying it out at different rooms, it turns out with this setup, the projector really becomes mobile, you can have it in different rooms and the screen just rises with the touch of a button. We used it during a playdate the other day, and the kids enjoyed watching movie on it. All in all this is a great projector, it's very nice looking and easy to setup. The color and brightness is superb compared to traditional projectors. And this is a laser projector, so we don't have to worry about changing out burnt bulbs either. I wish the remote was a bit better built, but it does not affect the overall funtionality of the projector. I would highly recommend everyone to check out this product if you are in the market for a projector. I think you'll be impressed.

AWOL LTV-2500: Exactly what I was looking for!
Thought about getting a 4K laser projector for quite some time. Researched what was out there and found that most reviewers had good things to say about AWOL. A friend had the LTV-2500 and I got to see how well the projector performed first hand. I was impressed. My viewing space is not large - a 15x16 foot second floor loft, and with that limitation in mind, I decided that the LTV- 2500 and a floor rising ALR projector screen would fit those requirements. When they arrived, I admired the design and simplicity of the projector - it looks good. And I found set up to be incredibly easy. To ensure proper placement of the projector to the screen, I built a platform with adjustable legs so I could get the projector at the right height and distance to the screen. The initial set up of the LTV-2500 was very easy, with menus that were not vague or unclear, but specific as to input and next steps. The follow-on adjustments for projector alignment to the screen and focus were quick and not difficult to accomplish. I have my own Dolby ATMOS AV system, so connecting that to the 2500 was simple: nothing more than an HDMI cable and a Sound menu entry to specify an external sound system. Out of the box, using the standard Modes provided: Std, Game, PC, Movie, the colors were good. But there are plenty of reviewers out there with recommendations on the more complicated adjustments for white balance and color hue, brightness and saturation. And I utilized User Mode and these recommendations to dial in color balance for a picture I liked. Not as difficult as I thought it would be, and if you donโt like the result, you can always get the projector back to factory settings using the Restore function. My 2500 did not come with Dolby Vision (AWOL specs list it as Dolby Vision Ready), but per AWOL it was available as an update. So I contacted AWOL Customer Service and requested the update. Customer Service were very accessible and responsive via email and within a day or so, the update for Dolby Vision appeared in the projector Update menu. The update completed in just a minute or two, and WOW! What an improvement! The update adjusted mode and color settings specifically for DV and this made all the difference in picture quality bringing the 2500 up to near perfect. I adjusted white balance only slightly, to fine tune skin tone and didnโt touch color balance at all. One thing discussed in most LTV-2500 reviews is the overall brightness of the picture, and some reviewers think the 2500 is not bright enough under daylight ambient light conditions rather than a dark room. Specific to my room, which has a window behind the projection screen, this hasnโt been an issue when viewing during the day. Also, 3D seems to a major topic in reviews of AWOL projectors, and though Iโve viewed a few 3D dvdโs at my friends house through his LTV-2500, I donโt have a dvd player with 3D capability but hope to aquire one and check out this feature in the near future. For now, the LTV-2500 has proved to be the right choice in all the areas important to me: design of the unit, image quality, ease of use, price-point and customer service.

Reasonably easy to set up and master through nice menus.
After way too much research time, I decided upon this UST 4K 3-D ready projector. With Amazon's relatively generous return policy, I don't feel that I'm making a mistake since I have a good amount of time to check it out thoroughly, before deciding on keeping it forever. It's a big ticket item for me, I never planned on spending 2,000 plus on a projector, but I've enjoyed my Epson 3700 FHD long throw projector so much over the last 6 years or so, that I found the motivation to upgrade the experience to a longer lasting and potentially much improved image while enjoying all the streaming offered today as well as my growing collection on 3-D FHD movies. I just wish that content creators made 4K 3-D movies, but as I have found out the max resolution for 3-D is still the full hi-definition blu-ray format. This is easily the best viewing experience I've seen for 3-D, so it does seen like a real boost in resolution. I could be even better I can imagine with one of AWOL's brighter projectors, since brightness is lessened when watching in 3-D. It doesn't dim as much as my Epson 3700 however, so it is a real improvement. I have found that there is some stuttering in moving scenes however, but I'm forgiving at heart when the overall experience is so richly rewarding as a nicely made 3-D movie like Avatar "Way of Water" can be, for example. Back to the AWOL 2500....I have found the menu system to be satisfyingly thorough and consequently it takes some time to feel like you've semi-mastered the many nooks and crannies that comprise the relatively complex menu structure. Like other reviewers have noted one of the peskiest things is the lack of integration of a 3-D button which could have been placed on the remote, and some kind of 3-D recognition ability so that when a 3-D disc is inserted and "played" the system would recognize it and make settings that jive with the native format of the disc. The 3-D menu part of the remote is full of details I've not been used to, and still don't fully comprehend, but trial and error leads to a good result with a minimum of fussiness it turns out. Don't forget to close out 3-D using the menu or else your next disc will be affected in its output in a negative way, like creating unwanted red black bars and some kind of super-highlighted sharpening which isn't appealing at all. All was well when I checked the menu while trying to watch a Ultra HD blu-ray and discovered the 3-D was not in the "off" position in the menu tree. I understand that AWOL gave the 3-D ability to the projector in an update, so that says something about the less than stellar integration of the format in its menu system. It should have automatically "offed" the 3-D functionality when a different type of disc was started......in my opinion. I have found that in controlled lighting environment which is my setup in a decent basement-based 127 inch screening room with a 5.2 s.sound configuration where I imaged the AWOL to about a 120" 16:9 size.......that the black levels could be adjusted in pretty well in my opinon, at least as good as my long throw Epson could manage and possible somewhat better. I'm not a "nit" nerd and cannot objectify the technical details of the projector's performance, but I can notice what looks very good compared to what looks 'unsatisfyingly' washed out, for example. I'm a retired photographer so I am very sensitive to fine details in images generally speaking, and a 4-K Ultra disc like Wonder Woman looks satisfyingly vibrant and dark scenes show pretty darned "inky" black to my eyeballs. Overall, in the low ambient light environment on my hand-made white screen produces a highly respectable image quality in all respects. I'm about to move homes and am a little perplexed by the much-stated hype over screen quality that suggests I won't be able to fully appreciate the image quality unless I get into a fresnel screen product, or at the very least an ALR screen with CLR ability as well. This screen resolves very nicely the 4K native image of a Ultra 4K blu-ray movie, with pixels very detailed upon close inspection of the screen. I like the relatively simply adjustment features of the AWOL like focusing and the image correction mechanism, but feel like other projectors with much faster and competent auto-adjusting features for these details make that set-up chore much easier to get through. So, all in all, I'm pleased with the 2500 and don't feel that I'm lacking in brightness, but then again I'm not using a light-absorptive screen like those ALR screens are by their very nature, and my white screen material seems to be making an excellent image. I would hate to put out all those benjamins only to find that my white screen in my controlled lighting room was superior in the end of it all. What to do....what to do??!!

A great projector I cannot recommend (updated x2)
My unit was amazing. I ordered it in December of 2022. A couple weeks ago it developed a discoloration at the top left of the picture. I contacted support and was asked to provide photos with a white sheet of paper covering the area, for which I used an envelope, which clearly showed the problem. They are now asking that I move the entire unit to another area with a white wall to better show the problem. This is a three thousand dollar product. I'm going to do that, and provide them the photos they're asking for, but this experience has severely strained my confidence in the company. See the photo I've attached. The discoloration is very clear on the envelope. Despite this, they're asking for more "proof." โ- It appears I just got a grumpy CS rep. Once I was able to explain the issue I was handed to someone else, who took full ownership of the problem in a manner more like what I was expecting. They sent me a label to ship in the bad unit and shipped out its replacement (a brand new unit) the very same day. This is a fantastic projector. Youโre going to love it. -- Update 5/8/2024 I thought this matter was settled, but I was emailed by a very rude customer service associate who claimed I hadn't returned the defective projector. They claimed FedEx had no evidence of the shipment. That makes sense, since they sent me a UPS label to return it. The representative further threatened me, suggesting there would be "further issues" if I didn't return it. I sent them a copy of the UPS return label they had sent me as well as a copy of the screenshot showing it had indeed been delivered. I also have Ring camera footage of me leaving my house about half an hour before UPS shows it as having been dropped off. The projector is great, but this company's customer service sucks. I cannot recommend anyone buy their products because if you have a problem, they're going to be dicks about it.

UPDATE 110% honest 4 month review
UPDATE - 5-9-2024 After reaching out to AWOL support, and sending out a few emails about the issue with pictures and the amazon order number they shipped out a replacement right way with a return label, I do appreciate there customer service and I hope these one works longer without any issues. UPDATE - 4-29-24 less than a year and this awol UST is already starting to show issues with dead pixel I mean I like the projector and all but come on, less than a YEAR, and the chip is failing. Mind you my UST is out in the open with nothing blocking the air vents or fans. Sorry but I have to change my rating review on this now. Only time will tell when it completely fails and at this rate it could be with in the 1-year mark. purchased 8-28-23 No projector is perfect, but this one comes very close with minimal comprises. RBE is minimal if your too easily distracted then go with the LS800. Not the brightest but I do not have 100% ambient lightening control but its very watchable during the day, @ night its just wow bright. Color accuracy is very good, with a little of red in the picture but I don't mind it because I don't want colors to look washed out or dull. TV broadcast look great, Movies are awesome and video games are crisp. I tried the built in speakers and it was loud and tested the DLNA and it worked great for most movies but some 4k encoded did not play nice when fast forwarding. I watching via USB external hard drive it worked pretty good. I don't have the perfect setup but @ 110in ALR with 5.2.4 Yamaha A2080 and 14k watts of power for my subwoofers I think the awol 2500 pairs nicely with my home theater living room setup. I will update this review as needed, til then cheers...

Great UST projector with all of the bells and whistles!
Where do I begin? I was looking at home theater solutions and, in doing my research, I started looking into various ultra short throw projector solutions. I was looking for a 4K solution with HDR but also one that could handle 3D. I also did not want to break the bank. I came across AWOL-VISION and was immediately impressed with what both of their models had to offer. I opted for the 2500 model, as my home theater room can be completely darkened with no external lights, and the 2600 lumens would provide more than enough brightness. The projector was super easy to unbox and set up, and the menu selections on the remote made sense. I quickly set up the included Amazon Fire Stick in the media stick compartment for HDMI 1 and hooked the HDMI2 (ARC) input to my 4K receiver, leaving the final input to my Apple TV. One very important step that I took was making the correct calculations for projector placement before I mounted my UST screen to my wall (135"). I was careful to mount the screen using the guidance provided by AWOL-Vision for my screen size, and as I knew that I would not be ceiling mounting the projector, it was easy to place it in front of the screen, center screen. The calibration options were very easy to use, and within 10 minutes, I had a crystal clear image that filled the entire screen evenly with no run-off. The only caveat is that, though the projector is 3D ready, there are no instructions that guide users on how to use the functionality. For the first month of my ownership, I could not figure out why it wasn't working for me. Fortunately, AWOL-Vision has some of the most patient, capable, and responsive tech support specialists I have ever encountered. After walking me through the hard fixes (software and firmware upgrades and sending along sample videos), they included a video of how to activate 3D. It turns out that I was foolishly pressing the "home" button instead of "settings" while the disc was playing. If I hit Settings and then Image, I was able to adjust the 3D images, and the results were stunning (I used the recommended Elephas Active Shutter 3D for my movies). Thanks to the patience and perseverance of their tech support, they have one happy customer! I look forward to many movie nights with my new set-up, and I know that software updates will be easy thanks to my tech service experience with them. Once they push out a Dolby Vision update (which I hope comes soon), my home theater system will be firing on all cylinders. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it to any home theater folks who want a projector that provides high quality and ease of use at a great price point.

AWOL LTV-2500 Broke after a few uses!
When I first plugged it in I was in love with this. The picture was amazing, even on the plain wall. I watched a movie with the included Fire TV Max and it was great. Audio from the machine was great too. I then turned it off. The next time I turned it on I could not use the Fire TV Max. It would power on but then would turn black every 2-3 seconds for about 1 second. This reminded me of times when there was not enough power going to a media stick and it caused an issue with the signals. I could still watch content over the DLNA streaming though. I did not try an external power adapter for the Fire TV Max, but I was guessing that might have fixed the issue. I watched another movie via DLNA streaming with the built-in media player and it worked great, this time against an ALR screen. Then on the next movie watching via DLNA streaming at about the 2/3 point in the movie the screen went black with snow. The snow does not move, it just sits there. The audio plays but the screen shown in the photo does not go away. I tried online support with AWOL and online support with Amazon and no luck in getting it fixed. When you try resetting the device it still is the same. Power up the machine and you hear the startup audio and the black screen with snow is projected. If there had not been issues I would rate this a 5. Since I need to send it back I am rating it a 1. I did look at other options since my only choice was return for refund and ultimately I ended up buying the same one again. Hopefully this next one won't have the issues. If you learn anything from my experience it should be to watch a lot of movies during your return window in case it does break and you need to return it.

Great product.
I was surprised by how large this projector is, but once we had it professionally installed on the ceiling, it turned out to be a great choice. Adjusting the picture took some time since our screen was already in place, but after a bit of fine-tuning, everything lined up perfectly. The image quality is excellent โ especially with a good screen โ and the projector is very quiet during use. The remote works well, though because the projector is mounted on the ceiling, you sometimes have to stand in the right spot to change settings. One of the best things is that, since itโs overhead, nothing blocks the image. Itโs perfect for presentations, movies, or anything where people tend to walk in front of the screen. As long as no one is standing right next to the screen, the picture stays clear. The built-in sound is surprisingly good even without external speakers. Overall, itโs a great projector. Weโve been using it for a long time, and it still performs like new.

Images vrai!!

Unbelievable projector!
I had been looking for a large TV for about 6 months. 85โ was the plan, as this was the largest size I could fit down my basement stairs. Then I came across AWOL! AWOL lets you project up to 150โ and it would easily fit down into my theatre room. It was setup in minutes, and has the best picture quality I have ever seen from a projector. Infact the 4K footage looks unbelievable, better than my TVโs too. Everyone who see it immediately asks about it and wants one. You feel like you are literally sitting in the stadium of a sports game with the crowd. Movies are absolutely unmatched by anything else. Iโm actually considering getting a second one for my main floor. Best purchase of the year. Amazing customer support too.

Brother loves it
When this went on sale it was so worth it, I would highly suggest this as it looks really crisp and makes playing VR games so much easier. The picture quality is great the brightness is good the sound is good but I would suggest getting a speaker system and it's a great value for what it gives you.

Great products
We don't have anything to compare it too but its a great machine. We did alot of reserach and thought that for the price it was a good buy. Colors are amazing, diverse options to adjust images and much more. The fact that it comes with amazon tv stick 4K is a plus. We are happy with this purchase

Lv 2500 was worth it
I broke a samsung 65 inch curved uhd 4k 3d tv. I honestly thought i could never replace it. I searched Amazon and the internet. Compared a lot and did a lot of researched. For the price and quality this on was the best. It's quality is superb. The brightness is better than I thought. The Ed is better than my tv it replaced. The costumer service it excellent. And it's a triple laser ugd 4k projector that actually works and does what it says. I also bought 4 3d glasses and a 100 inch fixed frame screen. Nothing to complaint about at all. I'm over pleased
