With castile soap, it is a saver
I use this with Dr. Bronners castile soap, and at 30% soap 70% water, this produces a very nice bathroom handsoap.I have a second identical pump of this style in my kitchen for hands and dishes. For the kitchen I assume people will be arriving at the sink with dirtier than normal hands, as if there wasn't so much dirt they would have gone to the bathroom, so the mixture is 50% soap and 50% water. This works very well for cleaning dishes as I use a brush to clean my dishes.I wasn't fond of using the towels to just smear around food onto the cloth and the next plate I clean, so by using a brush I can save a lot of water and just use this to pump the soap onto the brush or dish and scrub away. These have not clogged for me yet, and using the ratios I do for soap they are still holding out well.Remember this is just plastic moving inside of plastic and a spring, by diluting your soap solution too much you may not be allowing enough friction relief inside the pump, which could shorten the lifespan. The best feature of these isn't the fact they foam, but that they are nearly fixed in place with the suction cup they are attached with. This is such a great way to keep it in one spot on the sinks when there are kids or clumsy adults trying to wash up and always knocking the soap dispenser around or leaving it not near the sink. Also since it is stuck to the sink, you won't have to hold onto it for dispensing soap, just palm the head and out arrives your foaming soap that saves you money. If these weren't so expensive, I would buy more. But for the kitchen and bathroom they were worth it. For the shower I just grabbed a few Aldi's cheap foam soaps and emptied them out as having a 50% 50% mixture for the shower with Bronners is quite a nice shower. If you have a few extra bucks, you can always use this for in the shower instead.

works well
We had several of the rounder, whimsical-colored versions from Cuisipro, and they worked great for the most part. This style is slightly more upscale and modern looking. The suction cup on this is also an improvement - it holds the unit to the counter better, and the unit attaches to the suction cup also very securely and at an ergonomic angle. I love being able to change the base liquid soap whenever I fancy a new scent. Also I appreciate the clear body so you can always tell how much liquid soap remains. If you don't use it daily, the dispenser nozzle can accumulate soap residue, but it's easily flushed with a rinse of warm water.

Beautiful, but has some serious flaws
Edit and upgrade to 4 stars: I’ve had this now for quite a long time. As I said in my previous review I did have issues with the pump sticking in the down position and the markings for the amount of soap and water are long gone, however, once I started using more water and less soap than recommended, the pump started working again and has worked ever since (maybe my particular soap was too concentrated?). Also, it’s very important NOT to over fill the container. I only fill to just over 1/2 and definitely keep everything well below the pump mechanism. That seems to be the key. I still have to re-mark the fill lines periodically with a paint pen, but otherwise this has lasted a long time. I recommend the company imprint the fill lines into the plastic bottle rather than just paint them on and this would be a 5 star product!Original review: What I love: it’s a beautifully shaped clear and silver container that looks perfect on my counter and I love being able to make my own foaming dish soap! The suction cup on the bottom keeps it in place so I can operate with one hand (with the one problem noted below). I mostly wash my dishes, cleaning as I cook, so being able to dispense foam to one plate or pan at a time is perfect! What I don’t like: The marks indicating the proper fill lines for the soap and water disappear quickly, leaving you to guess how much to add. Too much soap and it won’t dispense properly. Too much water and it destroys the “pump”. My other complaint: while everything worked perfectly for approximately a month, suddenly the pump head will no longer pop up after depressing it to dispense soap. Now I must manually push the pump head back up into position before I can use it again. Very frustrating. While I love the way it looks and I loved the way it worked for the first month, I feel it is much too expensive for something that lasts such a short time. My suggestion is if you decide to try it, immediately grab a pretty color paint pen and mark the fill lines in paint BEFORE they disappear, and be prepared to fight with the pump top in the near future. Too bad. I REALLY wanted to love it!
