GreenLaw Keyboard Case for iPad mini 7/6 8.3-inch, Trackpad, 360 Rotating

I just updated from iPad 4 mini to the iPad mini a17 Pro. I’ve had this brand’s Bluetooth keypad case for the iPad mini 4, in black, and it’s been great. Now with my new iPad mini, I’ve come back to get a new keypad case, and I selected the lavender color. This keypad has backlighted, with colors and three levels to dim. Something new is a built in touch mouse pad- I still need to learn how this touch pad works. USB C is needed for recharging the keypad, but no charging cable included, not a big deal to me since my new iPad mini came with the USB C cable and wall charger. This keypad case is strong with a center (metal) connection that allows you to swivel 360 degree and turn the screen completely around, then fold it over the keypad making it easier to use your iPad without the keypad. There is a magnetic strip for an iPad pencil to mount on the iPad, and it will charge it too. Soft pads on the bottom & more soft pads to protect your iPad screen when you close it. With my previous iPad mini 4, I had tried a few other keyboard brands, before this brand, and they failed by cracking at the hinge and breaking. This brand is the ONLY keyboard case I can truly trust after years of use because the quality is top-notch. It’s like a mini laptop and I highly recommend this product!

I don't usually write reviews, but this case is seriously great. I can't believe this thing is only $60. I feel like it's transformed my iPad experience into pretty much a computer, and as a result I almost never use my real computer anymore! For context, this is my first iPad and also my first keyboard case/folio/etc so keep in mind that perhaps I'm just excited about this concept in general, that I can do most computer tasks away from a computer now. SIZE. This keyboard is bulky. It will double the volume of your iPad. I personally don't mind but it's important to note if you like how thin your iPad is. I think I prefer having keys with actual travel to one of those really thin cases where the "keys" don't move at all. BATTERY AND CHARGING. I've finally used the battery one cycle after about two weeks of pretty extensive use, even when using this keyboard a ton and with the keyboard backlight on about half the time (which is really helpful at night). It's nice that the keyboard charges with USB-C, the same cable/port as the iPad. (I saw that one of the reviews was complaining that the charger wasn't included which makes no sense… because you can literally just use your iPad charger??) KEYBOARD SIZE. Note that the keyboard is smaller than a standard keyboard. (Because the iPad Mini is smaller than a regular keyboard, it's impossible to have a full sized keyboard case.) As with any non-full-sized keyboard, it will take a few hours of typing to fully adjust. But now that I've adjusted, I actually prefer the typing experience on this keyboard over that of both my phone and my computer (2020 MacBook Air). I really did not expect that. MISSING KEYS. In addition to the keys being smaller than full-sized, the keyboard is "missing" three physical keys, which have been moved to be accessible by pressing the fn key: ' " [ ] { }. Out of these, the only key I really miss is the single quote/apostrophe key, because it's nice to type "it's" without having to press the fn key. I found two ways around this: (1) if auto-correct is on as it is by default, typing the apostrophe is unnecessary most of the time, and (2) I went to Settings → Keyboard → Text Replacements and added replacements from "Illl" to "I'll", from "helll" to "he'll", from "itss" to "it's", etc. So now to type one of these words that has the apostrophe, I just type the last letter one extra time and it'll get replaced with the word I want. TILT ANGLES. The angles that you can tilt the iPad are pretty good. It's nice that I can have both the keyboard in front of the iPad (like a laptop) or behind the iPad (like a Facebook Portal) for when I'm browsing the web or making a video call. One thing to note is that in laptop mode, if you tilt the iPad past about 120 degrees, it will fall forward because the keyboard isn't heavy enough. My actual laptop doesn't let me tilt the display past 120 degrees at all so I don't mind. TRACKPAD. The trackpad is pretty usable. Moving the cursor is fantastic. Scrolling is too sensitive but might be something I could get used to. There isn't great palm rejection, so if you tend to type with your hands touching the keyboard, it might be an issue. However, you can turn off the trackpad entirely (fn + space), which is what I ended up doing because I find it so much easier to just directly touch and scroll on the iPad. I wasn't even expecting this thing to come with a trackpad, so the trackpad's just like a bonus feature for me. Also yes I wrote out this entire review on my iPad using this keyboard case. It was a joy to do so!

It’s easy to install and pair. Overall build quality is excellent and feels very sturdy and protective of my iPad mini. The keyboard is a little cramped as expected but still very functional and the touchpad is excellent. Finally makes my iPad feel like a mini laptop. My only gripe is the power button is too recessed and feels it may break over numerous on and offs, but still a great product. The top feels very stiff but after breaking it in, it should be perfect. The illuminated keyboard is also excellent. Overall I love this product!

I bought this wireless keyboard in December 2019 for my Ipad Mini. It was amazing. We went everywhere together from hiking, to my bedroom, to the pond, even cross country to Texas. It was amazing and the perfect companion to my Ipad. It completed it completely. 2 days ago absolute tragedy struck. All of the top keys ceased operation. That was immediately an issue. No exclamation points!?? And how, these days, could you possibly type in your password when every single password requires any of the following characters: !@#$%^&* ?? Needless to say, it was a disaster. It was like your child had his arm cut off, and you could do nothing. I freakishly contacted the company, in desparation to get this fixed. Their response was so easy that they determined that they would help me no matter the circumstance. They advised it was probably a short in the wire somewhere and that they would help. (Phew!) I attempted to fix this short myself. I opened up the device and found possible issues that would result in this not working, such as a hair atop the connectivity wires under the keys. I put it all back together and no luck--in fact, now all the keys except for the last 3 rows were non functional... Oh man. Both arms cut off. I attempted to fix the connectivity in the main route and no luck. Again, another arm (wait, weren't both cut off?) was cut off. This time only letters G, M and H would show. was this a sign? Like something was meant to be spelled with these three letters? GMH? No. There is no possible letter combination of GMH that forms any word in the english alphabet. I gave up. And so I say, R.I.P. little dude. You served me well and fortunately customer service is so good that your brother will be coming soon to replace you and your fantastic service. In summary, the item is fantastic, and customer service is one of the best on Amazon. If you are in any doubt, you need to buy this. It is exactly what you are looking for. Hope this helped you. I’ve been using this keyboard daily for 2 months. It is compact, sturdy, and functional. My favorite feature is the ability for the keyboard to stay in the angle that you put it in. Some other things that I love about this keyboard was the keyboard/ trackpad size, the key combinations, and the big length it lasts between charges. The keyboard keys are not too small making it easy to transition from a standard keyboard. Some key functions are different but it’s no issue. The track pad is the perfect size. Any bigger on the trackpad and I would have to angle my wrist outward to the point of it being uncomfortable. The reason why I rotate my wrist is because I rest my wrist on the keyboard when I type. In order to avoid my palms touching the trackpad I have to rotate my wrist and if the trackpad were any bigger it would be uncomfortable. I also like that I don’t have to lift up my hand when I use the trackpad, I simply use my thumb to position the cursor. The key combinations are a great help. I’m able to switch between apps and turn the volume up and down, among other things, without having to touch my iPad. The keyboard holds it charge for a good amount of time. I’ve left forgotten to turn it off at times but the keyboard has a features that it shuts off the backlight to conserve battery and it’s come in handy! Overall this keyboard exceeded my expectations. And I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to transform their iPad into a workstation.

First off, this keyboard is quite good! The touch is definite, ....BUT it is highly sensitive, and many of the keys are in different locations from the standard keyboards.......that said, once you get used to the key placements, it works! I notice sensitivity to random touches which seem to displace the cursor and must be very observant of what appears after a keystroke, or I must erase a long row of jibberish where the cursor popped up at random. I have yet to figure why I would need the screen to swivel at all. BUT it is the best neatest tidiest iPadMini case I have, and Ive purchased several so far. I have two iPadMinis, and this is the only case with a keyboard, which makes it quite convenient, even with the unstandard set of keys. I figure I will get used to the locations of the keys I normally use. In typing this, Ive made various corrections, may fail to correct others....but forgive me. Dont let your hand move too far off the keys, or the cursor will disappear unexpectedly. It is worth trying however. At the time I type this, I cannot locate the apostrophe key.....thus its absence where I use contractions.....but no time now to learn its location. THAT is an example of the issues you will encounter. My hands are not small, they are used to hard work, have some age related neuropathy affecting the sensitivity of my fingertips....but younger folks should fly through their typing. When the case is closed, it presents a solid protection for the tiny iPadMini. It does not fall open accidentally, and the white one I chose stays pristine even when I sweat. Since you WILL make typos, learn first where the DELETE key is on the keyboard.....and be ever mindful of that aggravating CURSOR which can jump without provocation!!!! As more apps allow dictation input, this keyboard issue shoould be less and less as we learn to dictate to the Mini. The case gives good protection to the Mini, and that is of primary importance. I slide it into my bag with no problem alongside my wallet, and even my car keys cannot scar the screen of the Mini. There is a learning curve to remembering where the keys are now found--like the apostrophe, which I seem to use a lot, but I just found it so will practice a bit to see how quickly my hands remember that particular motion.

I had this keyboard brand for my iPad Mini 5th Generation and now have it for the iPad Mini 7 A17 Pro. I just must have an actual keyboard, rather than an onscreen one. I am so fully acquainted with the need to use the Fn key for the quote (apostrophe) and double quote keys that I sometimes find myself trying to do this on other devices! I haven't had issues with pairing with my iPad as long as I remember that I have to press the Fn and C keys together to do the pairing. I preferred the button to push that my old keyboard had. The new way of pairing is not what has kept me from giving this keyboard a 5 rating rather than the 1 I am giving it. It's not even the annoying touch pad, which I finally figured out how to turn off. It's the total lack of ways to contact GreenLaw customer support. My "t" key has stopped working. I need to get warranty information. The manual refers to Support and tells users to contact them with any problems. But there is no information on how to contact them - no website, email address, phone number, or even snail mail address. So I am stuck with needing to use the onscreen keyboard just to type this one letter! The warranty link on this Amazon product page does not go anywhere. Amazon customer support links also go nowhere. It's a shame, because this is otherwise a great product.

I had bought the same brand of keyboard case for an 11.5 iPad pro and I liked it so much that I figured that this would be the same except obviously smaller. The first thing I noticed was just how difficult this was to originally open. I got afraid that I was gonna end up breaking it for how tough it was. After 6 months of almost daily usage, I can factually state, it only gets slightly easier to open. It hadn't gotten smooth to open, very jerky while opening. At times, the edges of the iPad mini gets popped out and has to be pushed back in. When the case is closed, it doesn't close straight. It is at a slight angle. It's not an issue but it's something to note. Using the keyboard is not exactly intuitive. Similar to how on your phones you have to press extra buttons to access certain parts of your keyboard, the same holds true for this keyboard. Whereas the larger versions of this keyboard case has the keys neatly laid out, this instead combined two keys into one, since it was decided that despite the size, they wanted all the exact same functions. This the additional buttons needed to access certain stuff while typing. With that said, once you get familiar with how the keyboard operates, it becomes a fair enough typing experience. The lighting for the keys are good and you can swap it out for several other colors. It can be a bit of a pain to find which key access color lighting changes for it. The battery life is decent enough. I can get about two solid hours of use before it starts going. It has a light that flashes to let you know it's running low and to preserve battery, it will shut off the rgb lightning. That's your cue to hurry and plug it in It's not great, but it works well enough and better than many other keyboard cases for the iPad mini.

Keys are a little bit small, as expected. But you get used to it very quickly.

Podem comprar sem medo, é ótimo. Não vem cabo para carregar mas é o mesmo do iPad. Demorei um pouquinho pra entender como pareava mas no manual explica direitinho.

I am very pleased with the quality of this product. Though a bit pricier than its counterparts, it earns its keep by actually working as advertised. It then further distinguishes itself with sleek aesthetics and efficient, reliable function. Very pleased.
