These seeds are great. Here are some foolproof instructions.
Hello, I am posting this review as I have seen others having problems with this product. THESE SEEDS WORK. But they come with no instructions and I can imagine people having major issues.I highly reccommend not trying to sprinkle these in an established tank. These seeds are coated with what I assume is food for the seeds to sprout. This coating, when in contact with water, will instantly turn into a stringy gel. The seeds will clump together and make a huge mess. This happened to one of the other customers, you can see pictures in his review. You should instead grow these dry. These steps will ensure a successful sprouting and prevent molding:1. Add gravel to an empty tank (add osmocote/root tabs now if youd like)2. Add water, but do not allow water level to rise about gravel. You want the water below to be just below the top the the gravel.3. Sprinkle seeds. Bags have alot of seeds. A single bag can cover a 10 gallon pretty well.4. (OPTIONAL) Run an airline tube into the tank. You will be giving the tank airflow as to prevent mold from growing. (Food coating + Moisture + Spores in tapwater = Mold). Mold is not the end of the world however.5. Cover Tank with plastic sling wrap (Saran). This allows humidity to build, mimicking this plant's native conditions. Poke holes to allow air to escape.6. If you do not have an airline tube, just take the Saran wrap off each day, give the tank and nice fanning, and put new wrap back on. A little spritz from a spray bottle wouldnt hurt too, but make sure its a new, non bpa bottle that has not been washed with soap. (just to be safe)In 4-5 days you should see signs of sprouting. At 1 week, the seeds will have have all turned green and there should be visible roots. Check on the tank regularly for mold regardless, once a day should suffice. Remove any mold you might see. My first time, I saw a little white mold, just scoop it out. Mold spores will still be in the tank, but should not grow too fast with regular fanning. Once plants are more established, add water to fill the tank.

Lots of seed rot
So I purchased this product about a month ago and happily planted it in my tank. Instructions that come with it are from the top reviewer of this post that explains how they managed to get good growth and to avoid growing mold with these seeds. Instructions are helpful but the actual growth of these seeds seems very much based on luck. My experience with these seeds was great; originally I had great growth and I was thrilled these seeds were cheap and worked well. After about two weeks of great growth and coverage (image 2) I noticed that there were some clumps of sprouts floating at the surface of my water every day when I'd get home. My idea is that I'll lose some plants as everything gets settled, no big deal. Scoop them out of the tank because I don't want them accumulating and decaying. I do this for almost two weeks and it becomes tiresome but carpet still looks great. A few days ago I notice that there is some browning at the base of the carpet, look down to see there is seed rot from all the non-germinated seeds. Try to vacuum up the spots that are brown and up comes everything, plants and all. I'm now at less than 1/3 of the coverage that I was before with plant detritus/debris covering the surface of my substrate. Have to basically uproot and replant the whole tank from scratch because the seeds that are rotting are ruining my water parameters and there is no way to really vacuum all of it up because it comes up in large clumps that obstruct the line. Even my python cannot remove it all. I will not rate the product a 1 star because it does grow but using this product comes at the risk of needing a substrate/tank reset if there are too many dead seeds because the plants do not survive any kind of vacuuming without coming up to. Honestly may try again in the future but unsure if it's really worth the hassle. Image 3 shows the seed rot and image 1 is what the tank looks like a little after a month.

NOT DWARF BABY TEARS
These are not dwarf baby tears as described. After 2 months of frustrating growth difficulty the plant has finally begun maturing. When this plant is in its infant stage, it looks a LOT like dwarf baby tears. But after it grows out, it becomes obvious that this is some type of hygrophila plant such as H. Polysperma. This plant grows to be large, does not carpet well, and will eat up nutrients. The seeds for these plants are a scam, and can be found on ebay for much cheaper price, under the name "Magic carpet seeds". Some of these plants are actually ILLEGAL to grow in some states because it is an invasive species. Do not buy this product. The pictures I have attached are the plant after 2 months of growing as proof of the plant. From package labelled "Small leaf". Followed directions and grew them in substrate before submersing. Took a lot of time to grow a plant that is falsely advertised. Thanks a lot.

Great seeds so far!
So it's only been 14 days since I purchased the seeds and I have a great ground cover. I don't know how long they'll last, but they certainly grew. I bought both small leave and big leaf. Big leaf sprouted faster, by days, but small leaf grew great to.The pictures I'm posting of the process. No water in tank to start, just sprinkled seed on good substrate activ-flora red. Let sit on substrate for 5 days spraying with spray bottle. 1 sprout. Decided to flood the tank with water and heater. Next day, multiple sprouts. They need the tank heater because it's winter here and room temp is 70. Then great growth over the subsequent 9 days. I still believe that they need to stay on the substrate prior to putting water in the tank so the seeds can bond to the surface.Pictures of the process and my results after 14 days attached. Posting this review from my phone, I'll edit later from a pc.
