The Performer camshaft is matched to the compression ratio, manifold and carburetor for maximum performance from idle to 5500 rpm. Edelbrock aluminum Performer heads have 64cc combustion chambers and the Thunder Series AVS 650 cfm carburetors deliver dependable performance. The new block has 4-bolt mains, precision-machined crank, 8 in. harmonic balancer and aluminum pistons. Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS 650 cfm square bore carburetors with electric choke or an Edelbrock Q-jet carburetor. Edelbrock Performer EGR, Performer EPS or Performer Air-Gap Manifolds can also be chosen. Edelbrock Performer camshafts installed for a smooth idle. Stainless steel valves are installed with 2.02 in. intake and a 1.60 in. exhaust valve size. Engines are sold with or without Edelbrock aluminum water pumps and Elite Series aluminum valve covers are installed. High-quality ARP bolts used for assembly. Includes MSD Pro-Billet distributor designed for Edelbrock Crate Engines. Options available include; dual-quad manifold, dual 500 cfm carburetors, linkages and fuel lines. All Edelbrock crate engines are shipped in durable plastic crates and have 2 year 24,000 mile warranties.
