Severely loosens up over time
I installed this shift lever after doing some transmission work. Less than 2,000 miles and I've already taken it out and replaced it with the stock lever. As the other review mentions, the shift bushings do not come with a washer for the top, which you will need to provide yourself. I used a fender washer but still had to stack another washer on top as the stock screws bottom out. Not a huge deal there but it'd be nice if it would have at least come with four fender washers at a minimum. Kind of important. But to the shift lever itself. It has a single set screw holding the blue anodized mid-section in place, and a single set screw holding the ball in place, BOTH of which vibrated out in less than 2,000 miles resulting in very unreliable and borderline dangerous shifts. On several occasions the lever had too much give to make it into fifth gear, and reverse was very difficult as well. The mid-section is easy to tighten back up, but you tighten the ball joint in again you have to take the whole assembly out just to get to the screw, which at that point I decided not to play the game of wondering what will loosen up next and just replaced it with the much more reliable stock lever. My recommendation, if you MUST have a cheap short shift lever, make sure to apply red loctite to the set screws and tighten those suckers down before you install it because you do not want to have to go through the annoying process of taking a shift lever out when it becomes dangerously loose.

Shifter Bolted together instead of welded
Shifter install wasn’t hard, but the shifter is held together by various bolts and not welds so about 2 months after the install every piece attached to it with bolts came loose. I had to go back in and use lock tire on every bolt. The shifter also hangs very far to the left and looks like it’s in first when it’s in neutral. Although, I am pleased with the stiffness of the bushings. Just keep the original shifter it’s not worth your money.

This is a well made product that has definitely decreased shift throws. There were no instructions that came with this product but finding them online is easy enough. The shifter comes with metal bushings but there are no washers so you will need to buy four if you want to switch from the factory rubber bushings to metal bushings. Overall I’m satisfied with the product.
