Seems I have always owned a RIDGID shop vac. Previous vac was a 16 gallon, 6.0 HP; great machine, but too heavy to empty out when more than half full. After ~5 years of general use the hose collapsed...no direct replacement hose. (This is a standard size)?? Contacted RIDGID no help, so donated very good vac to charity.Bought smaller 6 gallon vac for better handling. Bad idea; nice size and weight were fine, but vac had poor suction and hose was too stiff and pulled the light weight canister too close to the work area before straightening out...sent it back.

Purchased this to have at my office for jobs the vacuum can’t or shouldn’t handle. The hose came out of the coupling as another reviewer noted. You can’t just push it back in so my husband will have to cut it to make that stay attached. Also, as noted by another purchaser, screws to attach handle weren’t included. Such simple issues that should be resolved by the company rather than the consumer. I’m hopeful once we get it operational it will be a sweet little tool to have around.

Overall not a bad shop vaccum, but the hose fell out of the permanent nozzle attached to the end after maybe 10 uses. I should be able to fix it with super glue, but I wish I could still return it.

This vacuum rocks it picks up better than any brand I've used in the past if it does breakdown I would buy another no doubt. Only wish would be that it came with more attachments
