Jig works great, but the drill bit....... is just okay.
First off, kudos for taking time to make usable directions, Peachtree. I think there were some reviews prior stating that the directions were lacking. That is definitely not the case anymore.Full color pictures?! With sentences written by an actual adult fluent in English?!I never knew how excited I could get about usable directions that, you know, are actually coherent. What a concept! That being said, the jig does what its intended to do. Is it as good as a line borer? No. Is it as good as the complete Festool LR32 set with router, track, etc? No. But these things cost thousands of dollars. This was like $40 or something.I chose this jig because you can simultaneously drill both the front and back rows on non-assembled cabinet sides, making this arduous task of drilling thousands of holes a little less horrible. Just don't rely on the jig to be square. It isn't, and doesn't pretend to say it is. It's not far off, but in cabinet making 1/8" can be substantial. The drill bit is decent, and with some experimentation you'll achieve minimal tearout. Of all my drills, the one that worked best for this was my Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/4" hex head adjustable speed impact driver. Plunge the bit rather slowly straight down and pull back the same way. I chose the impact driver because it's no-load speed is much faster than my normal drills, and the speed of the bit works in your favor here. Fast rotation is how the router jigs achieve such clean holes. So yeah, if you're budget is tight definitely get this jig. If you have $1000 to spend or are a semi-professional get the Festool LR32 package. If you're a professional cabinetmaker I would question why you're even reading this.....go get a production line boring machine or CnC in the $3500-$10,000 range so you don't have to mess with this mundane part of cabinetry!

Close enough to perfect
What I like- setup is pretty quick- seems to ba made of durable materials- drills evenly spaced holes in a straight line- relatively easy setupWhat I don't like (these are admittedly nit-picky)- there's no built in guarantee for square, you need to double check before you start drilling- you have to self align the holes, there's not a center line for each- the bit doesn't consistently leave a clean hole- the bit doesn't evacuate 100% of the bits of wood and clogs up- the jig will slide on you as you're drilling the holesWhy I gave 5 stars:- Even though the jig isn't perfect, it's plenty close enough. The $75 that this jig costs will easily pay for itself in time saved over just one set of cabinets. There are easy work-arounds for the nit-picky things I don't like.- Take a second and put a square against the jig before you start drilling.- In most cases, it doesnt matter if your holes start exactly where you want them to or if theyre slughtly off; both rows just need to start at the same height. Eyeball the holes for center and measure from a common edge to verify that both sides are the same distance from that edge, this will ensure you're holes are square to each other.- Another review suggested using an impact driver instead of a regular drill because the higher rpm makes a cleaner hole. If you do this, and plunge slowly to start with, most of the holes will come out clean. That's good enough for me. Also, take a fraction of a second extra to plunge a second time to full depth. This ensures the bottom of the holes are clean too.- Plunging the hole a second time before moving to the next seems to clean the bit as well- The jig comes with set pins to extend the row of holes beyond the capacity of the jig. Drill the first hole for each side first and insert the pins, this seemed to do a good enough job ensuring the jig didn't move while drilling out the holes.I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and definitely recommend this product.

Works great
Overall I'm very pleased with this jig. It does have a slight tendency to get out of kilter on long pieces of material somehow. I couldn't figure out how this was happening as the screw downs were not getting loose. But it definitely gets off a little bit. The self-centering drill bit also has a tendency to get clogged and stuck in the retracted position. You can get it to pop back out by pressing the sleeve back and forth on the edge of another piece of material or countertop or something. It's a little annoying but a relatively minor gripe. None of these issues negatively impacted the finished project though, and the jig saved me a ton of time. So I still give it 4 stars. No regrets on the purchase at all.

Shelf pin jig
It works great. Pins all lined up on long run of holes.

Everything you need to drill accurate shelf pin holes.
Not big on instructions, but not that hard to figure out. You need to pretty much disassemble it completely out of the box and then reassemble into its usable form. It has just enough slop to be worrysome--it racks a little bit even tightened up as much as possible--so it's vital that you take the time to make sure the first two holes are lined up precisely square. Once they are set, pin the jig in place in those holes (using the included pins) and everything else falls into place. Also recommend a practice hole to make sure you've set the correct depth for your actual shelf pins.

Great For My Project
Set this up last night to help me with drilling into some wardrobes that I am building. Took me a little bit to figure out how to get it set up just right, but now I should be off to the races. I discovered (for anyone who is curious) that taking the rail off of one side makes it so I can use this one pieces wider than 2 ft and I can drill in holes in the back to help support wider shelves.

Made adding more holes easy
I bought some cabinets for my new bathroom. Unfortunately the cabinets were built for only 1 shelf, and only had a few holes which limited where a shelf could be mounted. With this jig, I was able to add lots more shelf locations! The accompanying drill bits are both metric and US, so I was able to make the holes match what were already in the cabinets.
