Super expensive but sounds great! I don't regret buying it at all. But it is way more expensive than it needs to be. Battery life lasts about 3 hours when cranked up all the way. The best thing is that you can continue to use it while it is plugged in. It is waterproof and does float. Anytime it gets dirty i just rinse it off. But beware it will continue to drain water out of it for hours so don't set it on a surface that it will ruin after you get it wet. Sound quality is very good. Bass is strong and it is very loud. If I am in the garage with the doors closed you can here it in the street so don't under estimate it. Also you have to use the app to set it up which was kinda of dumb but it does allow you to tweak the sound which was a very nice feature. you will notice though it lags a bit when connecting when you turn it on and when it disconnects when you shut it off which is no big deal but definitely can be improved upon. Over all for a portable speaker system there isn't really anything out there that can touch this for sound quality, durability or how loud it can go while still have clarity. This is probably why JBL charges a serious premium for it. You will also notice it does have some weight to it so it is not something you would want to carry around all day. I also notice it does improve the sound a bit if you leave it plugged in while using it is you are going to listen to it real loud. If you buy it, you wont regret it. I sure don't. I use it very frequently to the dismay of my neighbors

Great Speaker. Almost as good as a component stereo system. Great sound. The JBL excels outdoors. It just sounds great. I also purchased a Sonos Move 2 and had them at the same time and compared the two. I switched back and forth between them, comparing the same song. The Sonos is going back but it is a nice speaker. Not as balanced. Best at low volume levels. In general the Sonos sounds like it has a lot of digital signal processing DSP / EQ. I also didn't want a microphone listening to me all the time like the Sonos. The JBL is large and heavy but I think that is a small price for such good sound. I used Apple lossless CD burns via bluetooth for my comparisons.

Nice sound quality. It gives loud noises or music sound around my work. Great Bluetooth connection and easy to use. And you can also play it portability anywhere you want for a long time. And it might be the distortion of JBL boombox 2 or 4. Just because of the sound and the bass.

10/10 for sound quality. This was an impulsive purchase. But it was well worth . Now the price point isn’t for everyone. 15lbs isn’t heavy.. but I wouldn’t set on a table or on top of anything that can’t handle the weight or vibration from all the bass. This boombox isn’t a regular speaker. This has a lot more power compared to a regular JBL speaker. Also great is you wanna make your neighbors or roommates hate you. lol

I finally bit the bullet and bought this Boombox 3. I own three other Bluetooth speakers. This one just sounds the best. It has tight sound and a booming bass. I work in a factory where the ambient noise reaches 89 decibels at times. This speaker soars above it all. Yes, I know about hearing loss, and I’m not going to get into it here. At first I thought about getting the Boombox 4, but I like the sound better with this model. 4/17/26 I finally brought this speaker to work. At full volume I got about fours of use, and now I’m down to 10% battery. I’m actually disappointed.

This speaker is amazing! Long story, but I bought it on accident, I didn't think I'd ever be okay paying this much for a speaker, but I can't go back. I listen to music all day every day. I have a few different speakers & headphones... JBL Charge 4 JBL Vibe Beam Apple earbuds (pro & regular) Some other brands of speakers that are less notable, the list goes on... There's something lacking in each one, mostly the volume and bass quality. For working out I dance, and I like my music LOUD. This speaker is IT. It's the only (non-club/concert) speaker I've ever though, wow - that's too loud, I should turn it down. The first time I turned it on I was blown away. It's pretty big and heavy, but I guess that just comes with the huge amount of sound it produces. I feel like the battery life is okay. I really only use it in the house so I don't need it to last very long. It charges relatively fast and I haven't had any issues with connectivity. Super user friendly. It's seriously the best (home) speaker I've ever heard. I'd say it's definitely worth the price.

I would like to recommend this JBL speaker because it offers excellent sound quality, powerful bass, long battery life, and a durable design. It has met my expectations, and I believe it is a great option for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality audio device.

This speaker is incredible. Being an audiophile, I know a good sound when I hear one and the Boombox 3 is fantastic. Warm bass with clear and detailed midrange and sweet top notes. Really easy to connect to your smartphone, you’ll be playing music before you know it. Having existing JBL devices, it was important for me to have the Partylink feature that you don’t get on the more expensive Boombox 3 WiFi (big mistake JBL). This really is everything you’ll need for any outside party….amazing indoors too. Buy with confidence. Highly recommended.
