Simple, Sharp, and Durable.
Worked perfectly to lift up the trim in my 2007 BMW. I had to replace a cup holder and orderd this around the same time the replacement piece for my car was ordered. The trim tool lifted the surface of the panel withut breaking or bending anything and didn't leave any marks or abbrasions. This was inexpensive and did exaclty what I needed it to do. Once I installed the new component I simply placed everything back into its proper position and you couldn't even tell I had altered anything. Great tool and I would recommend it.

Perfect for intended use...
To piggy back what else others have noted, if you damage this item beyond it's next use, you are not using it appropriately. I used this for activating my rear fog lights on my 2011 M3. This requires removal of both the dash trim/vent and the housing for the light switch. After using a thinner/harder molding removal tool to open up a gap between the trim and the dash, I was able to use this tool to gently wiggle the trim from its fasteners. Once there was enough space I was able to pull the trim from the dash with my hands without any damage to the extended leather or the plastic dash board. This is NOT to be used as a crowbar. This was also useful in loosening the plastic tabs gently on the light switch housing without mangling my fingers. Very good tool.I learned from my father that you should always use the right tool appropriately for each job. And this does it's job quite well, if used appropriately.

Great tool (if you use it correctly)
After seeing poor reviews for this item, I wanted to retort. I ordered this to update my stereo and speakers in my 02 Xterra and 12 Transit. I did my homework on panel removal positions and "sweetspots" and I had 0 issues. Does not scratch interior, great :insert and slide" action for door panel and dash removal. Patience and common sense are needed as with every tool out there. If you have to pry until this breaks, then you were doing something incorrectly. After update and install on both units and 6 speakers, tool is healthy and ready for more on my pegboard! Good buy, vs using a flathead or butter knife. Well done.

Great prodcut if used correctly
This is a great product if used correctly. It is a little pliable so it will break if you try to pry too hard with it. It does work great to get panels slithly open to get a firmer tool in the crack. It doesn't mar the interior at all. I was skeptical at first, but now I am glad I have it and I have used it several times since I bought it.

Best Interior Trim Tool
I don't know how people who wrote a review saying they broke this did it, they must not be using it right. I work at Tesla and use this trim tool every single day. It is a little more expensive than other trim removal tools but this one feels so much stronger. Thin enough to get in tight spaces, yet strong enough to not bend in half when putting pressure on it. Highly recommended.

This thing is tough!
Most of my interior panel tools are cheap plastic. This trim tool is a pleasure to use. It does not scratch, is form enough to remove the most stubborn panels. Problem is that it likes to hide in the wrong toolbox all of the time! :-)

Review from an Installer
I work on cars daily, as I am an electronics installer. As cars are built more and more cheaply this kind of tool becomes a necessity. But having read some reviews I wonder if some misunderstand what this tool is designed for. I use mine in tandem with other panel tools, and I have been extremely pleased with the performance of this device. I don't necessarily use it pry dash pieces out I use it to get them started so that my other tools don't scratch things while I am doing the install. It really isn't for hard prying as much as it is for getting behind the panel that needs prying. I would recommend this tool to anyone wanting to do car installations, once or a hundred times.

WOW
I ordered this because it was recommended when I bought a Pro Fit Dash Mount for my GPS. I am very glad I did! It made the installation go MUCH easier. I have taken many dashes apart to install radios and things in the past, but never knew such a tool existed. This simple tool slid right in and unhooked all the clips really fast. No fuss, no mess, no damage to the plastic in the vehicle. I cannot comment on the longevity of the tool as I only used it once, but the one use did not appear to do any damage to the plastic tool. If you consider your time worth anything, the $5 is a bargain.
