Manduka eQua Hold Yoga Mat Towel

The silicon beads need some time to break in. It's slippery at the start and towel may slide off the mat.

Tried this and Manduka Yogitoes for Mysore. Liked this fabric better. It's thin, soft, absorbent and nonslip even though I could wring it out by the end. But be sure to wash it without fabric softener, bounce, etc. or you may change it from slip resistant to slip and slide. Don't know what Manduka would say, but I'd recommend using a sport fabric specific liquid detergent on it.

In order for this towel to have grip, you have to spray it first with water or drench it with sweat. That means if you don't have a spray bottle, or you don't come to class already sweating, this will be a slippery surface for the first 10 minutes or so.

Washable and dryer friendly. It doesn’t fade. Love it!

After lots of searching, I found this mat. I was very excited to purchase it for the following reasons:-It has the silicon nodes at the bottom (like the yogitoes line does) that help increase grip and decrease mat slips-it is a nice, masculine grey color (I'm a male)-It is the perfect size for my mat (I have the Manduka Pro, which the traditional yogitoes mat towels don't fit)However, it is about $20 more than the traditional eQua towels. I figured it was worth it because the nodes would make the mat much less likely to slip during practice.Turns out I was wrong. If I had it to do again, I would have saved the $20 and bought the standard eQuaAdditionally, I found out later that they do make yogitoes towels that fit my mat. The distribution of nodes at the bottom of the eQua Hold line are in shapes of the manduka logo (the frog); however, I do believe the yogitoes line has them evenly distributed everywhere on the bottom of the mat. In other words, due to the unique/awkward distribution in the eQua Hold towel, I can't say for sure that the silicon nodes don't work entirely. But they definitely made little to no "hold" improvement in this towel.

Bit pricey .. but totally worth it .. doesn't slip around and holds on to the mat and doesn't compromise your practice

Excellent mat for hot yoga. Spritz it to start, and it sticks!

My hands are very sensitive so putting my weight on them on my yoga mat, whether through friction or some contact allergy, makes my hands break out in a rash. I bought this thinking Its something I could wash in case it was some nasties I was picking up from my rubber mat.Turns out wetting this thing and laying it on your mat gives you suction cups on your hands. I love the grip I have, no more sliding for my first few down dogs until my mat warms up. Just wet this thing down and bam. Good to go. Don't want to down dog without this ever again!

I love the thickness of this mat and the quality has lasted me now for years. although I mostly practice hot yoga and its far too slippy to use without a towel. However, with a full-length towel, it's perfect.
