Does this act as a kettle as well or, is it just for "cold" beverages...?

It just warms up to warm tepid water, that’s the best way to drink water it’s kinder to your organs and digestion

It says "ammonia output: 1000-1200ppd"? does ammonia go into the water? where ammonia goes?

I’m not actually sure. I have returned mine as the water tasted metallic after the process, similar taste to the unfiltered water in small town here in the UK. It would be great if someone actually tested the water before and after the process. Until then there is nothing to prove that this actually does what it says it does.

We were unsure the water in there had gone through the process so we did it a few times. It smells like bleach & tastes bitter. Is this normal?

Yes this is totally fine... ours had that smell too but no ill effects from drinking at all
