I use this on my diamond stones and it really works great. My stones do not slide at all with holder. Someone in a review complained that it rusted but if he read the directions he would have seen if it was used in water they recommend a few drops of oil on the threads after each use since it's not stainless steel. I really like this product and the price was great.

Works well, but the materials are very cheap. I paid a little extra for this one because I thought it was made in Japan. The listing and box say Japan all over it. But after seeing the materials I was apprehensive and checked further. Yep, made in China! So it works, but it's not Japan, and I don't see any reason to pay an extra 20% more for this one than the less expensive listings. It's the same thing but rebranded.

it holds the stone at a comfortable height allowing you to easily hone the blade at whatever angle you wish, the rubber feet hold well and keep it from sliding with light - moderate pressure. never knew how much of a difference (much easier) it would make until i tried it. highly recommend at least trying it once if you use a stone
