I purchased the iPhone 8 case for my wife as a Christmas gift. The phone does not fit securely in the case and it fell out. Also, if you place 2 credit cards in the slots provided, the magnet does not keep the cover shut. The ad photos clearly shows that there are 3 slots for credit cards. The ad for the product states as follows:UPDATED SERVICE - We have updated our cases from one year warranty to LIFETIME REPLACEMENTS WARRANTY. If there are any non-artificial product issues about our cases, please contact us immediately. We will send you another new leather case FREE. COMPATIBLE with iPhone 7 Plus / iPhone 8 Plus devices ONLY. NOT for iPhone 7 / iPhone 8. *TIPS - The more cards being put into, the magnetic closure function will be weaker. Please place the proper amount of cards.I contacted Shieldon about the defects with the case and they did nothing. They have not replaced the case and have not honored the warranty at all. Despite the favorable customer reviews, I would never buy anything from this company again. They do not stand behind their product or the warranty that they advertise to entice potential purchasers. Future buyers beware.

This is a lovely case. It's hard to find a genuine leather case in less than $50! It comes in wonderful packaging and smells like new leather right out of the box. The camera cut out is perfect. The magnetic closure works pretty well. If you would like for something that will stay closed I would go with the other case that buttons or closes more securely. You can put cards in this case. They fit fine and they don't slip out.However, if you put cards it's pretty noticeable. The magnetic closure doesn't work as well when there are cards in there. Like most cases, it does look a little bulky once cards go inside. But like I said, for the quality I would definitely recommend and even purchase the case again. As a woman I have to carry a purse/wallet most days. So I'm not as bothered by not putting cards in my phone case. I've had the case for about a month now and the wear on it is great. The leather has only gotten softer. I ordered the black because most of my purses and handbags are either black or white.

I'm enjoying this Shieldon phone case/wallet and would recommend it to others. The cons do not detract from the case - just a few suggestions for future iterations of it.PROS:-it fits my iPhone 7 Plus really well-it's easy to talk on the phone while keeping it in the case - and you can easily fold the left side of it back behind the phone when you're talking on the phone.-it's easy to take pics while keeping it in the case-it has an easy-to-prop up feature for when you want to watch a video-the slots are easy to slide credit cards in and out of-the long secretarial pocket is easy to slide money in and out of-I like the magnet that engages when you close it-it came carefully wrapped in a beautiful suede envelope, the suede envelope was inside a nice, sturdy box with a sliding drawer. I realize that I won't use the box for anything, but still, it was a nice touch. And it came with a nice little gift card.CONS:-the feel of the leather is a little scratchy - I wish it were smoother to the touch. But it's not enough of a negative to be concerned about.-I wish it had an outside pocket.-the magnet is a bit hard to disengage if you fold the left side behind the phone when you're talking on the phone, but not enough of a negative to be concerned about.-I wish it had a swivel option so that you could turn the phone vertically and prop it up.-I wish it came in other colors.-I wish it had one more credit card slot on the inside left cover.

I literally just received this product 10 minutes ago. I am so impressed that I immediately logged in to write this review. I purchased this case for my work-issued phone. I wanted something that would be distinctly different from the case for my personal phone and opted for this design because of the slots for business cards. You can’t stuff a ton of business cards in the slots, then again how many business cards does anyone really hand out nowadays? What impressed me even more than the affordable price and high quality was the packaging. A lot of thought and effort went into the packaging from the outer box to the simulated suede sleeve to the thank you note from the manufacturer. This manufacturer clearly takes enormous pride in their product and truly cares about every facet of the customer experience. I highly recommend this case and will consider purchasing other Shieldon in the future.

I just got this in the mail yesterday, so this isn't a long standing use review, but if I encounter any problems I'll come back and update.I bought this for an iPhone 8 Plus.The purple is a LOT darker than what the picture shows...when I first opened it I actually thought they had sent me a black case by accident! In better light, it looks more purple, but it's like a dark navy kind of purple. It's just not the purple you're expecting lol.The magnet is VERY STRONG. It will definitely stay closed or folded back. I did not buy this to use as a wallet and I wont be keeping any cards in it, I just wanted a folio phone case. I haven't had any camera issues because of the strength of the magnet. I also tested a phone call and the person said I sounded normal and not muffled or anything. It does have a true leather smell to it. So far, it's just a nice, quality, sturdy folio phone case. It's worth the $30, it feels MUCH BETTER than the cheap ones that are everywhere.

I love it except for one thing, it doesn't really protect it from falls. I love this type of case, and it looks and functions great. I rarely drop my phone, but I just did drop it about 18" which cracked the protective cover on top the glass. This is a fine product at a great price, especially if you are very careful and rarely let the phone slip out of your hands.

From what I can gather this case is not genuine leather, rather faux. After just a few weeks of use the colour (RED) had started to fade and wear quite heavily a few places and when closed it was misshapen, the top flat didn't lie square with the phone/base.Quite disappointed as, prior to this, I had a good feeling about Shieldon products. It is cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Very happy with this case. There is always a level of concern when something says “made of leather”, but this case actually is. It’s sturdy and it’s very easy to remove the phone without it being detrimental to the integrity of the part that holds the phone in place. I had this issue with my previous flip case which led me to have to buy a new one. The part that holds the phone in place is in this case is made of rubber...so it’s very flexible.If you prefer a flip case for your iPhone then this case is an excellent buy.
