Wished to extend my previously purchased M5 Deco mesh system and the two nodes have done that excellently, including changing my main node to one of the S7's. Recommended

I purchased this to replace an existing device I had which wasn’t quite extending my Wi-Fi signal to a home office in the garden - this device was very easy to connect using the app (took just several minutes) and extends the Wi-Fi signal really well through the external wall of my house into a timber frame building - a brilliant product

The delivery was quick, but it came in a plain box instead of the branded one. Other than that, it's working great!

1Gb LAN port made my whole mesh network much faster as made this one my main unit. Rest of the system are e5 modules so my connection speed was limited by 100Mb LAN port on them. Deco app is very easy to use to deploy new network or add new modules to existing one.

These are not as advertised. They do not come in original packaging or accessories.

Having had terrible issues with the BT Complete/ Total WiFi resulting in annoying drop outs I looked for an alternative solution. This was recommended to me by an IT specialist. The difference was immediately obvious! No drop outs - full coverage even beyond the house into the garden - simple App to monitor performance- definitely recommend!

I initially bought a pack of E4 Decos then realised I was throttling back my full fibre to the house speeds to 100mbps, as the main Deco only has 100mbps Ethernet ports, which includes the one connected to the original router. So I bought the S7 with a gigabit port and used this as the main one and the E4s as remote ones, which have over 1000mbps throughput on wifi only. This has worked perfect, all rooms now have around 200 plus mbps, for a 380mbps at source output. So in short, spend more on the main Deco and then just get the cheaper ones as satellites.

I wanted to use this as my main deco on my existing Deco network but in the Deco App was unable to select it when choosing my main Deco. I contacted TP Link's tech support who where completely hopeless. Initially having failed to read the problem they told me to select it in the app which I'd clearly stated I couldn't despite that being how the app should work.. After repeating myself a number of times and sending screenshots they asked for screenshots which I'd already sent then suggested selecting options on the Deco's web interface that don't exist before finally saying I needed to delete and make a new network having completely failed to resolve the problem. Evidently there's a problem with the app, the firmware or both and TP Link's technical support people are woefully inept and completely unfamiliar with the products they're meant to support.Update: It's now January 2024 and at some point since writing my review the problem I had has been fixed.
