This is a good second volume, noticeably a bit harder but also noticeably a lot more interesting. I'm never expecting gold standard plots with these types of books, but the author did very well to write such a broad range of stories that were simple enough for beginners / intermediates, but that held intrigue and tension. The stories are varied enough so that if you don't like the one you're reading, you know the next will be completely different. Highly recommend this book and also more generally, reading in your target language. These books have improved my Spanish a lot.

Great for reading/comprehension

Short, easy to read. Perfect for lifting Duolingo. You learn to lead full sentences in a context. Very well set up. You don't have to understand every word to get the story. This gives you a sense of accomplishment.
