These dishwasher prongs worked out really well. Made my dishwasher look great again. The caps fit snug and have never come off. I highly recommend these.

When you get something that just works perfectly, as advertised, and lasts month after month it really brings a smile to your face. That's what these little thingies will do. My ten year old dishwasher still keeps plugging along doing it's job. Unfortunately the rack prongs have long since lost their coating and have rusted. I replaced the bottom rack at an outrageous price. That wasn't going to happen again! The top rack got so bad it was either fix it or get a new dishwasher. Figured I'd give these things a try. I cut the rusted ends off the really bad prongs, gave a quick file to any pointy edges and then put these caps on. They went on easily, but snuggly. They have stayed on now for almost 4 months without any of them coming loose or falling off. They protect the dishes where before they would frequently pick up rust spots. The caps show no sigh of wear. They just keep working and doing their job. A new top rack for my dishwasher would have cost in the neighborhood of $200. These things cost me $14 and I have a few left over. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend them to anyone with problem prongs on their dishwasher racks.

I initially planned to ouse these only for the tines on the rack that were damaged to the point that I worried that the touch up rack repair stuff would not work, but it looked strange having only one or two caps, so Capped them all. I also made sure to clean up any rust with a wire brush and alcohol, then coated them with the rack repair and let that dry before placing the caps on. Without doing so, the oxidized metal of the rack was still visible as discoloration under the cap. With the caps on and the rack repaired, it not only looks good agiain, but the glasses on the top rack seem to stay in place better during the wash.

Buy these and install them when your dishwasher is new. Once the rack begins to rust it is almost impossible to get these to fit over the rust. Install with some isopropyl alcohol to help them slip on

installed on our new dishwasher a year ago and have not had any divider fingers break open the ends causing rusting ends. only one minor determent some items are difficult to remove because the tips don't slip like the original nylon coating but if it prevents the rust it will be well worth and minor inconvenience .

I was a little hesitant after reading the reviews but this product fit perfectly. My dishwasher is a GE Profile. It had one prong that had been chipped. I did not want to take the chance of having rust on my dishes. I put these on all of the prongs top and bottom. There were just a few left. I was very afraid of having these come off during the cycles. I use normal wash, heated dry, temp boost and pod detergent with a rinse aid. I stopped the washer at least 3 times during the first use to make certain that the prongs would not come off during the cycle because of the agitation (as more than 1 reviewer stated) and jam up and ruin the dishwasher. I have now done many many many loads of dishes with absolutely no prongs coming off during any of the cycles. They can be seen on the tips of the racks but they don’t look bad. Almost the same color as the racks. The dishes have to be eased between the prongs as the tips decrease the space between the rows at the top. Still, not a problem, it just cushions the dishes even more than originally. Also, there were enough tips to do even the short prongs. I would not hesitate to recommend this product. It did everything I needed it to do and more(cushioning was a bonus). I had no problems getting the tips on as some reviewers mentioned. This is a really good product.

I love these they work great, stay in place and very easy to put on. I had to twist them down to get them on but it was very easy. They are tight and not going anywhere. My dishwasher looks great. I did have to buy 2 boxes because one wasn't enough, but now I have extra in case I need to replace one. I strongly recommend these. Great product at a really great price.

These were easy to install. Seem durable and stayed in place so far. An extremely cost effective way to get more life out of a dishwasher. Would recommend highly.
