The soffe heavy weight cotton tee is the garment for those who want a classic heavier feel. 7-oz. 100% cotton jersey and full athletic cut make this a great tee.

Old school military 80’s and 90’s t-shirts
Finally, a t-shirt that resembles old school military designs that are not an athletic cut, flimsy, and ridiculously thin and expensive. A regular cut block shirt that hangs from my shoulders comfortably and not tapers in around my waist. The shirts are not as heavy as advertised. You can find heavier shirts from local vendors in most major cities. The shirts resemble the military t-shirts of the 80’s and late 90’s where military uniforms were heavily starched and ironed and you looked crisp and sharp while wearing your spit shined steel toe black leather combat boots. Note that Soffee is a major supplier even today of military wear from sweats to physical training uniforms. I can no longer find quality 100% cotton shirts from Nike, Armour, Adidas, Champion, etc. I gave up as younger people don’t know what real quality is anymore and will buy anything because the clothing and sports corporations have phased out quality and promoted cheap, thin, and it sucks clothing that is just too expensive. Sure it has UV protection and anti-sweat-wicking technology woven in the clothing’s molecular structure. That’s cool. I will wear Iron Man nano tech when it’s 90+ degrees outside on my 3-mile run. When I want to be comfortable, I want to feel cotton. Concerning new school price, isn’t automation and technology suppose to lower manufacturing and consumer costs? No different than before 911 airlines did not charge for baggage and after 911 the airlines tripped onto a new revenue source and now its the new normal. If you like me and you like the old school military shirts that are slightly larger for civilian wear, I recommend to buy these shirts. They are not heavy to me as these shirts were the normal military t-shirt wear under olive drab or battle dress uniform shirts. Again, the shirts aren’t heavy, I have bought heavier, these shirts are just heavier than the flimsy and thin shirts sold today. These t-shirts are what military t-shirts were like when purchased in military clothing sales back in the 80’s and 90’s.

Nice thick t-shirt to be worn as a prmary shirt but might be too thick to be worn as an undershirt.
This is the perfect T-shirt for those that want a nice thick material in a T-shirt. The shirt is not too short and not too long either. The sleeve length is perfect as well. After being washed it shrunk to just the right size. I think Soffe really took the time to measure the sizes of t-shirt a person actually wants when they order a specific size. The price is a little higher than a lot of standard shirts that someone might want for an undershirt. I don't think this T-shirt is meant to be worn as an undershirt but as a primary shirt to wear with just about anything casual. I have bought these shirts before and it will last for a long time and will quickly become your favorite tshirt to wear. Thanks for making such a great T-shirt. Will definitely buy again.

Been looking for a heavy shirt for quite some time ...
Been looking for a heavy shirt for quite some time. Reminds me of the old Nike and college apparel shirts (from about 8-10 years ago). Shirt is slightly larger than anticipated, but I'm willing to overlook that. The shirt does appear significantly more durable and heavy than Hanes' Beefy T or Gildan's Ultra cotton shirts (6.1oz and 6.0 oz respectively). On the flip side, I was able to get the Hanes' Beefy T for about $4/each and Gildan's Ultra shirts for about $5/each. Of the two, I would opt for the Hanes' over the Gildans. The oz difference is only 0.9-1oz between Soffe and Hanes/Gildan, but the price difference is more than double for Gildan and triple the price for Hanes. The area that was larger than expected were the sleeves. I might get that tailored to reduce the size and not have it appear a bit out of place. .

High quality that'll last forever.
You know that T-shirt you've had for 20 years and it still looks brand new? I had been searching for such a shirt because my friends are turning 40 and I wanted to give them a high quality shirt that would last with some custom print. I tried to get my favorite shirt, but it is from the Boston Cotton Company, which doesn't exist any longer. So I bought 9 different heavy weight T-shirts and tested them for a while to find the best - there were some good ones, but not quite there. Then I did some research and found that the BCC was bought by Soffe, whom I called and they suggested trying this shirt. I bought one, and guess what: It's exactly what I was looking for. High quality, thick fabric and double stiched seems (you'll know the difference when you see and feel it), it keeps it's shape and it will last you forever - It's just a shame it's so damn hard to get a hold of in Europe. It's as good as the best T-shirt I've ever bought - and now I've bought dozens for my friends. Reg. the size: It's somewhat on the small side within normal size ranges - but it is true to the description (which states the same).

At last like they USED to make them!
True sizing! Not slim fit throughout the torso. The neck is neither tight nor too baggy for a female. The cotton is hefty but not rough. No pilling. Shrinkage was minimal. If you used to like Hanes 6.1 ou. Beefy tees, or Jerzees Heavyweight tees, you will be MOST satisfied with this product. Hard to find t-shirts like these that are heavyweight and 100% cotton. Don't fall for all the new "comfort tees". The manufacturers simply found a way to unload polyester on unsuspecting customers. This shirt made by Soffe is the REAL 100% COTTON DEAL!

This one is much better quality. Comparing them side-by-side and putting them on ...
I ordered one of these shirts at the same time that I ordered some Dickies brand heavy weight t-shirts. They arrived together in the same box. This one is much better quality. Comparing them side-by-side and putting them on one after another is a great way to see the quality. I returned the Dickies shirts and will be ordering more of these.

Very high-quality, well-made and true-to-size
The shirt is indeed 100% cotton, heavier material and a great as-expected fit. I was looking for this shirt after the last few years of t-shirts lasting me only about a year. This one should last a long time. This t-shirt is a throwback to about 8-10 years ago before the clothing industry started using cheap, super-thin, semi-transparent fabrics and women's sizes re-labelled for men and charging more. I really despise how the clothing industry has degenerated over the last few years!
