I've seen several reviews of this product complaining that the tablets were powdery and broken. Frankly, I've found that to be a feature, not a problem. When I first gave the tablets to my two labs, one ate it and the other one wouldn't. I started "hiding" the tablet in her dog food, but no luck. Finally, I realized that all I have to do is squeeze two together and the resulting powder makes it PERFECT for adding to her meal! Both my dogs are on prescription meds so I want to keep their livers and kidneys healthy. 4Paws' Milk Thistle Liver & Kidney Supplements work great - and THANK you for making them crushable!

I don't know if this works but 2 out of 3 cats, both male, dont like it and fell ill. They lost their appetite a bit after giving this to them. This might be working for the other cat, a female, as she regained her appetite and eating more after giving this. I only give half tablet a day as this has a lot of herb ingredients that may have side effects or contraindications that i dont know so it's always good to start on a lower dose.

My dog had bloodwork come back showing that he had an elevated ALT level (215), which I was told was cause for concern. I did some research online and found several articles that said milk thistle products can help cleanse the liver, so I thought I'd take a chance with this product. I gave him the pills as instructed for three weeks, and when the follow up blood test was done 4 weeks later, per the vet's request, the vet was amazed at the results. My dog's ALT level was completely back in the normal range (41). I didn't change my dog's diet in any other way, so I have no explanation, other than this is an amazing product! I would recommend it to anyone that has been told by a vet that their pet has abnormal ALT levels. This product is definitely worth looking into!

Made my dog sick and he couldn’t take them

I reordered this and even though the bar code is the same the product is not. The first order was a smaller bottle that was bacon and cheese flavor and small tablets. The reorder was chicken flavor and very large tablets. My dog doesn't like the large tablets or the taste. Since the bar code is the same on both bottles how would I know if I am getting the bacon flavor tablets if I returned the new bottle? The first bottle seemed to make my 10 years old dog spunk and energy but now she won't eat the new batch. Frustrating that I can't get what I first ordered.

Stop feeding it to my cat she looked as if she was dying after taking it so I stopped. Three days later she is eating fine and has a little more energy. She is not suffering as much as she was before. She was starving to death until I prayed, God answered my prayers. I put Organic coconut oil (the best coconut oil) on her paws and she licks it off.

Disappointed in the pill. Product very crumbly with broken and partially broken pills in the bottle. Won't buy again. I'll go back to the slightly higher priced product with more pills and better appearance.

My dog's ALT level has gone from over 400 down to 190's in 2 weeks with a combination of Royal canine hepatic dog food, lactulose and Milk thistle liver and kidney supplement. Her energy and balance has returned. I was so pleased I decided to give the milk thistle to my elderly cat that has always had GI issues. I was shocked when he ate the tablet before his regular food. I am anxious to see if it improves his issues.
