Prima Rear Rack (Black); Genuine Buddy

I've gone through two of these racks in two years. I carry a Givi plastic rack-top box on it. After the first rack broke I figured it was because I carried gear in the box. So after installing the new replacement rack I only used the box to store my helmet while the scooter was not moving. Even then the rack broke in less than a year (really 6-8 months of intermittent riding). I know I've got some rough pavement on my commute, but it's not that bad, and less than 10 miles. This rack isn't worth the trouble unless you only occasionally use it, and then only for something light. Until they redesign the cross bar, it's just a scooter decoration.

was not impressed with this rack. i thought i was getting a steal at the price until i realized it was fairly week. I tend to carry a lot in my back case, maybe about ten lbs and this rack broke maybe two weeks after i installed it. I do live in an area that is notorious for bad streets, but that is no excuse for this rack. this is made with inferior metal and i would not recommend buying this rack. if you have a buddy, just spend the extra dough and get one of there racks...

Easy to install on my Buddy 170i. Used it to attach a back case.

This product leads you to believe that it comes with the hardware to attach it to your scooter, but all that came in the box was the rack itself. It requires additional parts that the stock rear rack does not, so I had to go out and buy them myself.

Purchased as a gift and installed on a Buddy 50. Easy aftermarket upgrade with a super simple install.

Firstly, Scooterworks sent this over fast. Right out the gate, I was happy with how quick this arrived.The instructions are pretty detailed, but only cover the steps *after* you remove your scooter's stock "grab bar" I believe it's called. Pro-tip on removing that before you go forth with your printed instructions: you're going to need a 12mm socket wrench and a phillips-head screwdriver. Basically, the grab bar is attached by two nuts and two screws. You'll remove the nuts, remove a screw in the center, then slide the cover on the grab bar forward with your hands and remove the other screw. Boom. Grab bar is off.I wish the instructions included how to get that grab bar off! I had to dig around on the internet.Once it's on, it's fantastic. I can fit so much stuff back there now, instead of awkwardly bungeeing things to my seat so my butt has barely anywhere to fit. Grocery shopping and bringing lunch to work is a total breeze now.

I bought this black rack for my 2007 Buddy scooter because the chrome-painted rack that I bought as an option in 2007 was rusted and looked really gross. I quickly swapped the racks and am really pleased with the quality of this rack. A great purchase.
