acer Predator XB2 27in Gaming Monitor NVIDIA G-SYNC 240 Hz Full HD 1 ms TN Film , XB272 bmiprz (Renewed)

This is a review for a refurbished Acer Predator XB272 TN 240 MHz G-sync monitor which we could not find on the Acer website at the time of purchase which led me to believe it was discontinued or a special build. Every other merchant had only refurbished monitors of this mode available. “Very popular,” I thought. The description changed since purchasing this monitor so my review is of the model stated above and not whichever item it ends up being attached to.My daughter loves this monitor which is hooked up to her custom gaming rig I built for her birthday in June 2020. Currently she is using a GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus OC XS graphics card so she cannot Take advantage of the full 240 FPS although her system certainly support a RTX the anticipated 30xx/Amprere Nvidia cards and Big Navi Cards die later in 2020. I just thought I better make note that a change of this product description took place after our purchase in July 2020 and we will leave a more in-depth review after we upgrade my daughter’s graphics card later this year.

I feel like judging by the reviews of this product it can be a little bit hit or miss. My experience has been amazing both with this product and with Acer recertified store. The product arrived in a timely manner, packaging was secure. And the monitor works great. If there are any issues in the coming months I will update this. But so far so good. Feel like I got a great deal on a premium monitor.One thing I would suggest is, in the special delivery remarks, ask them to mark your package as fragile to hopefully stop any rough handling by the shipment company. Mine was FedEx and they did fine but you never know what’s gonna happen. For something so pricey the least they can do is mark it as Fragile.

This is the 2nd of 2 refurbished monitors that I have gotten from Acer. The first one is about 5 months old and is still functioning at a high capacity with no problems. Quick shipping and a fair price for an awesome product!The only con: you are going to have to play with the pictures settings a bit. The default ones are weird and don’t look very good. This does not mean it is a bad monitor. You just have to mess around with it. I have a daytime and a nighttime setting. Seems to do the trick!$800 monitor for $375 is unbeatable I love this program and this company!

I understand this is a refurbished unit but how are you going to put a product back out there that clearly is defective. The color saturation is coming through. I’m seeing purple and red come through every other color on the screen when the FPS gets high. Such a waste of my time to wait on the product hook it up and now I have to send it back. Very disappointed and won’t be purchasing this brand ever again.

This is a great monitor the 240hz feels amazing the picture quality is pretty good for a TN panel and overall design of the display is amazing. I have owned this monitor for a good while now and would like to share my experience with the monitor.PROS:-I paid around $300 for this monitor when I purchased renewed and I could not be more happy with that price for the quality of monitor that I received.-The overall build of the monitor is great with the thin bezels and the slight red accents on the logo. It has the "Gamer" look, but for the most part very color neutral an would look good with most setups.-The TN panel has decent color and the 240hz refresh rate. Everything feels smooth but it isn't that different from a 144hz monitor in smoothness. You can see/feel a slight difference though and to me it is worth it.CONS:-Every now and then the monitor has a line of pixels missing from the center of the screen that gets moved all the way over to the left side of the monitor. Its a distracting and annoying issue, however doesn't do it a lot and is easily fixed by turning the monitor off and back on again.-A lot of people claimed that their monitor didn't come with a DP cable my did however. The cable was capable of pushing 240hz@1080p. The issue is I was moving my setup around and despite pushing the release lock that was on the cable, When I removed the cable from the PC the connections inside the connector piece of the cable were ripped out of the back of the cable and I had to order a new one.OVERALL: This monitor is well worth $300 and even at its retail price of $500ish is not a horrible price. I would certainly recommend this monitor to those who are in the market for a 27in 240hz monitor. You won't regret it.

Was a little worried since i bought it as refurbished but glad i got this in the end. It came in a generic brown box with 1 hdmi, 1 DP cable, 1 USB cable and the power cord. There we no manuals or anything just the monitor and the cables. I will say at first the screen looked bad... the colors were all off and everything looked washed but once you tweak with the settings the colors and the contrast look crisp and clear. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a cheap 27” 240hz monitor with a 1ms response. Overall great buy

I purchased this monitor in order to improve my gaming experience with Overwatch. This monitor has performed very well and was certainly a good purchase. Make sure you change the V-synch in both the game and the video card settings(nvidea or radeon apps) in order to get the FPS you're looking for. Also, you wont get and FPS over 60 in the menus because its locked there until the game actually starts. Use the training mode to see the FPS before hopping into a comp game.

The monitor is really nicely made for the price but something keep a look out for random glitches where something with G-sync glitches where the left side of the screen shifts over by a single pixle overlapping the other side but in my case I just had to turn it off and on. it would rarely ever happen. But overall I've had this monitor for at least 2 plus months now and everything but what I said earlier was great.
