Its not "asteroids "
Rather than the style you might remember where your ship floats around the map shooting asteroids; its centered. Your ship stays in the middle & you pick your shots from there. You still have the hyperspace button that sort of blinks you away for a second. I remember this more from Atari than the arcade so for all i know thats what it was, but idt it was. Kind of a bummer. Its still a game in the vein of asteroids.

Dad had an original giant one of these in the 80s in our house growing up, it was a great gift to give him a tiny working replica!

Don't waste your time with this one...
My son got the space invaders and centipede version for his birthday and it was a lot of fun, just like the original, but smaller. This Asteroids version stinks. The Shuttle only rotates in a small circle in the middle of the screen. It was fun for about 10 seconds then it went into the kids junk drawer as it was not as good as the original.

good memories, but the execution is meh...
Sound and visuals are really cool and bring back some fun memories as a kid looking for asteroids at thenoizza place or on my Atari. However, the spaceship is NOT “free floating.” You can only rotate it on a 6 position fixed circular radius. So the game okay is fairly limited. But, again, still a bit of a conversation piece and a few mins of retro fun.
