No, and No I will have to come back and re-review this eco style but for the 1st time impression it's a no. It could be because it doesn't have a number of strength on it and I usually use 10s.

This product is an excellent curl activator on my 4 B curls , this product does not proffer hold as it has no VP or PVP which holds the hair - it does have carbomer which gives light hold only. The smell is clean and delightful, while it’s not too greasy - there is Aloe , but be aware there is propylene glycol as the 2nd ingredient after water- I paid 3.99 for this jar at my local beauty supply.. I would not pay more than 4 bucks and it should be 98 cents... there are no expensive premium ingredients in here...

Love this gel! The most moisturizing Eco gel ever. No need to use a leave-in as this curl activator gel provides plenty of moisture. My daughter used a leave-in and it caused flaking. I use without and no issues whatsoever.

I have low porosity, type 4A natural hair and all of the other ECO Styler gels left my hair hard and breaking off. This stuff is a god-send. There is NO crunch and it definitely did NOT flake! I layered on the shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie first then coated each strand the Eco Curl Activator gel. It will be shockingly white in your hair but I promise it will dry clear! I was left with soft fluffy coils! I had some shrinkage, but I'll take minor shrinkage over breakage any day! I'm in search of the Olive Oil one next! Try it, you won't regret it!
