The media could not be loaded.  This is an eye catching item that will surely be a topic of conversation when my friends come around and see it.Very little set up is required, which was quite easy and straightforward. The little plastic tool that comes with it in the box is quite important, so one must not lose it (though I suspect one can improvise if one loses this tool). It is needed to create this hollow space between the globe and the magnet, thus making the globe appears to float/levitate, which is impressive. But the electromagnetic force that makes the globe float will only work if the lamp is switched on. Once this is turned off, then the globe loses its floating ability.It also has a built-in pen holder that comes complete a pen.Overall, it's a great item which would make an ideal gift to boys/men for birthdays, Christmas, etc.

It requires to be plugged into work, as the globe will not flow without it.It looks especially good during the nighttime when you can admire the colorful base and the light reflecting from the floating globe.The globe is well-made and the print of the countries on it is clear and of good quality.The pen works too, but it's just a nice addition.During the operation, the globe spins around. You can see a little "wobbling" in the movement but still, I think it looks nice.For £19.99 it is a great gift idea or a nice addition to your desk or as a decoration.

I bought this a Christmas present but it looks cheap. The box it comes in is looks tacky. So I was bit embarrassed to give it as a Christmas Present.

The media could not be loaded.  This arrives boxed with a mains plug, pen and simple instructions. It needs to be permanently plugged in to work. Once on, the base lights up a blue to pink colour. Attached to the stand is a pen holder which the supplied pen sits in. The pen supplied is a shiny chrome colour, quite light with twist opening to reveal the nib. The base is a lightweight plastic and topples if not placed on a flat surface, but so long as the surface is level, this sits in place with no problems. The globe was a bit tricky to balance at first and took me several attempts to get it to float but once I found the knack, it was simple enough to do. Once floating, it slightly spins and looks really cool. This is a nice quirky object that works well and adds a bit of interest to a desk, however, I feel it is very overpriced considering how light and plasticky it feels. At half the price I might consider it but not at the £36.99 it’s retailing for at the moment.

I am not a big fan of having such pen holder but it might be useful for someone. Personally, I think it would be better to have it without a pen holder. The stand and the globe are lightweight but do not look sturdy. If handled with good care I think it will last long. It looks fabulous though, it would be great if the globe had a charging light in it. I think it would suit well a work desk. Overall, it is a lovely item and easy to use. I could levitate it on my first attempt.

There is no floating. The globe sticks to the top, no amount of trying to make it float as per instructions works. A complete dud.
