We bought this as a fun addition to my son's jam band. It's an easy instrument for someone who is not necessarily a serious musician to pick up and learn. It allowed a few of my son's non-musical friends to jam with the group and join in the fun. It's got a cool sound to it. Highly recommend.

I purchased this vibraslap as a birthday present for a 13 year-old grandson. I am a professional percussionist and I use the LP brand vibraslap for my playing. I think of this vibraslap as a consumer-grade percussion instrument, versus the LP brand, which is the pro-grade. Overall, it worked just fine. The major difference is that this vibraslap does not vibrate as long as the LP version. For a consumer-grade instrument, it works just fine at a lower price point than the pro-grade.
