Persona 5 Royal: Standard Edition - PlayStation 5

One of my favorite games, definitely the best in the series, it's voted the best in the series for a reason. When they redo four, I hope it's similar style of this. My only complain about the game is that there's a lot of gatekeeping so you have to progress to be able to do certain things to up your stats and stuff like that, if there was anything else I had to complain about I would say that it would be the certain angles in the game when you're not in a dungeon so like at the le blanc, I was looking for the bathroom, I missed it so many times so I wasted so many days of looking for it cause I couldn't find it because of the angle it was at, so I had to pivot to work on other stats when I needed to work on this particular stat you get from cleaning the bathroom I believe kindness is what I was trying to level up, Wish they would show you how many points you need for it as well. Other than that I love the story, I'm not really a story person as far as video games it's about gameplay for me but this is one of the games I view as a top 5 story, this story is definitely up there with Baldurs Gate 3 & Alan Wake 2 for me, those games made me care about the story as well as the characters. I can't wait for it 4 remake as well as 6, if you like this game you'll definitely like Metaphor Refantazio. It's going to be hard for 6 to outdo 5

I've been playing video games for over 40 years. This game easily makes the top of my list of all time games. I played Persona 5 when it first came out since I had played and enjoyed all the persona games before it. I liked it so much I purchased the Royal version when it came out. Then I purchased it again when it was remade for the PS5. It's an old game now and people have been waiting for Persona 6 for a LONG time now. I think one of the problems it that Persona 5 was so good they are worried the next one won't be able to live up to the expectations. This is a turn based strategy game, with time and relationship management aspects. You have to balance persona improvement with increasing your relationships. This makes each choice of what you do carry a weight you feel and end up considering. The characters you bond with come to life and feel as real as people you might know. The roster of phantom thieves grows as the story progresses and you are given the freedom to adventure with those that you feel the strongest connection with. The artistic style has probably won numerous awards, if not it should have. I don't usually consider this aspect of games much, but then again I've never seen it done so well an integrated. It's like a great sound that just flows, the aesthetic just flows in a way that feels natural and stylish. Oh I forgot to mention the persona crafting, trying to make the invincible world destroying incarnation of your alternate self. I spend way to much time doing that on each persona game, and I love getting lost in the process. I bought this from Amazon because the price was the cheapest I could find anywhere and I've used Amazon forever. Knowing I can count on quick reliable delivery with easy returns on the exceptionally rare case there is an issue. If you are reading this review wondering if you should get this game and haven't played it, the answer is yes. Right now! They did so much right that you'd think it would be easy to name the things they did wrong. Even after playing this game through multiple times I can't find any ways I would improve it.

Persona 5 royal has an amazing combination of story and gameplay, it doesn’t ignore one and go overboard on the other. Beautiful graphics and amazing visuals and color schemes.

Best version of the game.

Arrived in perfect condition. Entertainment is highly subjective, so I’ll keep this short. I loved the game itself. One of the best modern JRPGs. I was a huge JRPG fan 30 years ago, but gravitate more toward modern action RPGs now. This game was a nice way to revisit that nostalgic gameplay style, but still enjoy modern twists. The story and characters were decent, nothing groundbreaking. The music however… good heavens… all I can say is “Outstanding!” Very well done!

This game is goated

Fabulous game! I have about 125 hours into it now and am nearing the end. As in all games the music can get annoying being so repetitive and sometimes the gameplay is predictable but overall it is a fantastic game with a deep story. I highly recommend it for anyone especially those that like the JRPG genre.

The product arrived as advertised and in time, however the case was damaged to the point where I'll need to buy a replacement.

Received in pristine condition. Genuine PlayStation seal, no damage to the case and disc. Game runs perfectly I actually already finished and got a copy of P5 Royal on the switch but graphics are unfortunately outdated so I wanted to play on the PS5 (yes I know there's PC too but I prefer physicals on console) . I also got P3 Reload too. Awaiting the P4 remake

If you've played any in the series we've tried to crank up the things you love in Persona. Schools are more colorful, with students that pass by, you can hear the whispers of rumors' going on. Right off the bat Persona 5 deals with mature matter, and you gather your friends together to go inside a persons mind and change their heart by pulling a heist. Spend plenty of time hanging with friends, studying, exploring dungeons and collecting cards to transform and change. Get hit with daily questions and stats to upgrade your characters. Explore the world and see how the game grows after a few months and keeps at it. This game feels overwhelming with choice but also seems to find a balance of being personal and stylish. It's a must play.
