Was used, maybe a mix up.
This $$$$ expensive soldering iron was a huge splurge on my part. When it arrived it had one screw partially screwed in the bottom of the base. It had at least five years of use and was not worth anything. I got an RMA and returned it and a week or two later the refund showed up. I bought the iron from the manufacturers’ website and was satisfied.
