This work very well to clean out my cat's wounds, and it did help heal it pretty quick and he stopped itching it. Was really easy to just spray it on him. I also brought this to the vet to show them what I was using on him and he approved it said to keep using it. I love it when I get a thumbs up from the vet. It was definitely worth it and will be nice to have it on hand. It didn't seem to hurt him or bother him when I sprayed it on him either.

My cat loves it and she's usually skeptical of most things topical. Took us some time to solve her allergy mystery and this soothed her while we figured out the cause. It's not a fix but it definitely helps and soothes sores and provided my cat a lot of relief when she was going through some skin troubles.

I got this to treat my cat. He had an abscess that had broke open on his neck and it was pretty bad. We never noticed it I think because it was around his collar snd then he must have scratched at it and broke it all open. We took him to the vet and they shaved around it and treated it so it would drain. He had some bad skin but we couldn't afford how much they wanted to remove it but they said as long as I give him his antibiotics and I kept it cleaned it should fall off like a scab. They said just to clean it with warm water or diluted hydrogen peroxide. I wanted to get something extra so I got this stuff and the wound care. My cat acted like this stuff stung him. So I thought maybe it was too cold and I had applied it with a syringe. The next day I tried it on a cotton round. He still seems to not care for it and I went back to the warm water and hydrogen peroxide on a cotton round. I tried the hydrogel by itself again on a cotton round. He tolerated it. That evening I tried it again on a cotton round. You can't spray this stuff because the sprayer will clog from the gel. Cat still tolerated it but I smelled something and this stuff had a smell. To me it smelled like a faint bleach smell. I do not know if I should keep using it or not now. I assume its just a medicine smell. I will update on his healing.

This stuff works really well and fast but does take a decent amount and can get expensive.

As a 20 year foster of hundreds of cats, I'm a HUGE fan of vetericyn products. This particular vetricyn formula with the addition of hydrogel heals and soothes injuries and skin issues better than anything I've ever used. I first tried it on a bad open wound on a cat's back due to severe flea medicine reaction. It basically burned a hole into his back and after weeks of ineffective treatment with prescriptions from the vet, I heard about the hydrogel and gave it a try. Within 4 days, the skinless area had new skin and it was fully healed within a week although it took a bit of time for the fur to grow back. Basically it's a miracle product as far as I'm concerned and I always have some on hand. I've used it on myself and know first hand that It's not only painless but extremely soothing on an open wound. If the product is fresh, it smells lightly of bleach. (It's not bleach, so don't let the smell worry you.) In fact, when there's no longer that bleachy smell, it's time to get a new bottle because it has lost is effectiveness.

Perfect for those unexpected pet wounds and infections. Easy to use and gentle for my cats.
