Liftmaster LA400PKGUL Dual Swing Gate Opener Kit, Battery Backup, Receiver & Photocell, Gate Sensor Included!

Bought this on a recommendation from our gate company after our old doorking got zapped by lightening. It worked with the existing environment, and my installers told me there were no problems putting it in. What did surprise me is how much quieter it is in comparison to my old doorking. Installers were adamant about liftmaster over cheaper options because of their quality and warranty. If the gate system goes bad, I will update the review.

Find a local dealer its a better deal professional installed and comes with 4 year warranty. This seller won't cancel, anything and wount take back their product.

Little bit hard to figure out at first but finally got it working, tech support was good, the exit probe that was on amazon was a different brand listed, but works great. The only problem i have now is one gate opens slower than the other, not sure what to do about that!!

Had an issue with one of the controllers and contacted manufacture to help troubleshoot, found out one of the arms may be defective.. Called the vendor that sold the units to us via amazon, within two days they shipped us a replacement.. it was a great pleasure to purchase an item from a reputable vendor that will work with you and not haggle you.

This works great when it works. It includes a safety reflector light beam that must be installed to operate. The problem I've run into is when it rains, the condensation messes up the light reflection. I have researched and liftmaster acknowledges that they know this is a problem. They recommend using rain-x to help, but it doesn't airways work.Once the safety beam is broken for an extended amount of time, the reset button on the controller must be reset manually. I control mine from another state, so I can't drive 900 miles every time it rains. There has to be a way to bypass this stupid safety light, but I haven't figured it out yet. Since liftmaster dealer doesn't disclose to you about this known problem before you buy it, I will.

I had the same one for about 13 years. it should have only lasted 8 or 10 years. Excellent product and the distributor is the best. Very responsive to all my questions.. all distributors should be as good as this distributor. Liftmaster is the best. thank yoU!

@eric stemmons you can defeat the electric wire by placing the wire and the reflector in a box sealed against the elements. This would obviously be a safety hazard. But if you wish to take the chance...Otherwise protect the eye from rain. Build a box or other tent like structure. Remove sources of moisture if condensation is a problem.
