In short: These knives are attractive and appear to be well constructed. They’re sharp, cut well, feel comfortable in hand and aren’t flimsy.For those who prefer a fine edge blade, be aware these are micro serrated. While you’re not going to get the elegant cut you’d get with a fine edge blade, these knives still make an effortless & clean enough slice. I prefer the “never needs sharpening” micro-serrated blade because I’m not someone who’s ever going to prioritize the time to sit down & sharpen my steak knives.If you’re reading reviews & comparing brands trying to determine the best value & cutting capability in the budget friendly category, I’ll mention here that I originally ordered a set of Amazon Basics steak knives (8 count @ $19.99). I returned the set & I do not recommend them. While they were attractive & appeared well constructed they were terrible at cutting through food. They shredded meat and had an awkward, jagged, sawing feel while cutting that I found unacceptable. This Henckles set offers fewer knives and cost more per piece but the performance is superior; cutting is comfortable and they slice rather than saw. The adage “You get what you pay for” rings true here.The knives are touted as dishwasher safe but I recommend hand washing and drying to prolong their sharpness, to avoid eventual discoloration of the handle & to prevent water stains & scratches on the mirror like finish of the blade.Overall I’m quite pleased with the quality of these steak knives. There are other higher quality, more expensive knives out there but this Henckels budget-friendly category knife set gets the job done with ease & has an attractive design without breaking the bank which is why they earned 5 stars from me.

These J.A. Henckels International Eversharp Pro Stainless Steel Knives are of Superior Quality! I've had these only a few days but they are impressive so far. Been trying to replace my 30 yr old Chicago Cutlery trustworthy solderers forged in Japan as they have finally started to pit and rust badly. Not too bad after 30+ years of abuse & hard use... RIP Chicago, But these new J. A. Henckels (stamped made in Taiwan -not China!) are excellent if not superior replacements.The micro serrations on these knives work great so far slicing veggies thin & clean, corn on the cob ends, rock hard butter into the thinnest slices & meat i have tried so far. This is huge for me because my old Chicago knives did the same thing, unlike some of the knives i ordered here previously (which i had to send back) with the "dragon teeth" serrations which just "ripped" everything i cut with them. Micro serration knives are the only way to go if you want super clean cuts from other things than just steak. Now a fair warning... these suckers are really SHARP! Tuck your fingers in when cutting/dicing veggies etc or you'll loose the tip of your finger. Be mindful when hand washing using a sponge or scrubber (like a doobie which i use) as they will slice that sucker up big time if you're not extremely careful when cleaning. There're Sharp, sharp, sharp.So bottomline... in my opinion these are 5 Star really good quality steak knives. They have a good "heft" to them, long blade, work great, look good and are extremely comfortable to hold in hand... all for under $30 bucks for a set of 4 quality knives.. (Can't imagine what more expensive steak knives shown here on Amazon could possibly offer for the additional price?) Buy this set. You'll love 'em

I have been a user of quality knives for at least 2 decades, owning some pretty expensive knives in my block. I had a good set of steak knives that have dulled over time and I would give them a new edge twice a year with my "Chef's Choice", 3 step sharpener.Now, Fast-forward to the knives in review:I was at a rental cottage with a handful of old utensils and ONE lonely Eversharp Pro Steak Knife in the drawer. I was so impressed with this hard-working, low priced knife that I came home and ordered 2 sets (8 knives) and donated my old steak knives to a son. I will no longer be a slave to sharpening them and they cut right through a tomato like butter! I have been using these (not only for steak knives) but even in place of my expensive 4" paring knife! The serrated edge is a micro-serrated edge which is the secret to these knives. (it can however grab and get stuck in your washing sponge or drying dishcloth if not careful) The have a good feel in your hand with a decent weight to them. Full tang and a sexy, professional shape that evokes a steak-house restaurant vibe. Do not confuse these with the regular Eversharp steak knives that are much cheaper in quality. Get the Eversharp "Pro" steak knives and you will get a great value for the price! Yes, you can always buy better, higher end knives...but at this $ range....you did not throw away your money and IMHO got a pretty decent steak knife.

Decent enough knife if you're looking for an everyday steak knife you can throw in the dishwasher. The micro serrated edges aren't steak worthy, but it works for cutting up your food at dinner time. They're a good weight and look nice.

Love these ! Cut great

I bought a set of these J.A. Henckels EverSharp Pro Steak Knife Set at Tuesday Morning a few years ago and loved them, so happy to find the exact make and model again on Amazon! I hate all of my other steak knives, which slip and screech on plates and are difficult to maneuver and wash without cutting yourself. I bought another 12 of these new on Amazon. I love these knives for steaks, and also slicing tomatoes and citrus. Very high quality blades and handles made in Thailand. Dishwasher friendly. Very pleased that this same Henkel's steak knife model is still available!

Knives are great when they're new. Over time they loose their edge. These knives were replacements for original set, they do not last forever. The tips also tend to snap off.
