This item is so amazing. It holds iphone 7 Plus very strong. It is sturdy and adjustable to the way you are comfortable reaching your phone in your car. My case, I have a Tundra and it fits well in the cup holder (however, the truck cup holder is slightly larger, so I just need to place a piece of napkin or fabric to make it fit tightly).

The rotating expansion component in the base does not work in my vehicle's cup holder (2018 Mini Cooper). Whether the top lip-rim is above the top of the cup holder (as advised in the directions) or by pushing the entire base into the cup holder - the entire unit becomes lose and then unstable. I have to constantly push it down. If left alone the entire arm eventually vibrates up and out - and then falls over.So, for now, I am using it until I can find (yet another) phone holder. A disappointing purchase in this regard. If it had a tall rubber gasket that may provide enough additional friction to overcome the lack of stability.As for the expansion holder for the phone... it works fine and easily holds the larger "plus" phones.NOTE: If you have a thick case or are using a PopSocket, etc., it will not "fit" unless you remove it first.The split bottom expands left/right independently allowing a power cable or headphone cable attachments without issue. The top is one piece across.

The product itself is decent build but it vibrates way to much to film while driving and the part you turn out to wide the cup holder part damaged my cup holder. Will pick a better option like magnet kind since this is a 55 thousand dollar truck and the pieces that hold your drink tight are now damaged and drinks just flop around now

Base seats nicely and stays put. Gooseneck is NOT the super long one you may be thinking it is, its not eye level in my Jeep Cherokee but it brings the phone up to a decent level. The neck is rather inflexible, you will not be adjusting it with one hand. Deducted one star for the actual phone cradle... it is somewhat loose. The weight of the phone (iPhone 6, not plus) seems to make it pivot. Not a crazy amount, just enough that it's not exactly how you left it when you put it in the cradle.. I do miss having a spare cup holder more than I expected but that is nothing against the design.

Clean, basic and functional. I like the firmness of the neck to support both my iPhone and iPad mini to not allow position changes while touching the screen during navigation. Works very well in my Toyota FJ cup holder.

I ordered this for use in a 2017 Subaru Legacy. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the base to stay in the cup holder for very long. As the base expands, it seems to push this up and out of the holder. I suspect that if the sides of the base were covered in a rubberized material this would not happen. I am frankly very surprised by the unanimously positive reviews, given that my car’s cup holders are of standard size and shape.

I have a Malibu that did not come equipped with navigation, so I use a Garmin GPS. I purchased the 12" version of the iKross phone cup mount and I love it. Very secure in the cup holder and my Garmin GPS fits snugly in it. It does vibrate a small bit, but I don't care. This is probably due to the 12" length, but it is now closer to read and you can reposition it to your liking. So glad that I found this, as I did not care for the bean bag style mount that sat on the car dash.

The gooseneck part is solid and sturdy but the problem is the base as it does not grip on to cup holders. I am sure there are many types of cup holders and but for my car, it did not grip well.If your cup holder is plastic and no rubber then this is not a mount for you due to its base.If the brand wants to improve this then they need a rubber coating on to the base or redesign the base.
