Pads work great - easy install with Pilot Hole and Punch
A thicker than with typical stick-on pads. I purchased these because I grew tired of stick-on pads oozing off of the feet and needing replacement. By being secured with a nail/brad these should stay solidly in place. I read some reviewers complain about bent nails, etc. Most chair legs are made of dried hardwood and you cannot simply nail into it and not expect the nail (really a brad) to bend if a pilot hole hasn't been pre-drilled. I pre-drilled pilot holes with a 1/16" bit to a depth that's a little shorter than the nail's length. I then drove in the Pad's nail using a steel punch so that all force would be on the nail head as it is much smaller than the diameter of the pad - I estimate about 1/8". Given the pilot hole very little force is required to seat the pad. See attached photo. The pads are doing a nice job - I like them. Ignore the negative reviews about bent nails and separating pads when nailed - these resulted from improper installation on the customer's part. Of course, such problems could have been prevented if the seller provided clear installation instructions both in his Amazon listing and inside the package, neither of which he does.

Important! Make sure you drill pilot holes!
These felt pads are THE BOMB. I fixed all 8 of my chairs in about 10 minutes and that includes drilling pilot holes. PEOPLE: DRILL PILOT HOLES OR YOU WILL BE SORRY!! I tried one without drilling first and of course the nail was bent and mangled. Use a tiny drill bit, drill your hole in the middle of the bottom of your chair leg, and tap the pads in. It’s very simple and a great solution to protect your furniture and floors.

Great and easy to install
Ordered these to replace ones that were worn out. They look great and are easy to install. Our issue is that the nail is not quite as thick or long as the previous ones so they are a bit loose. The previous ones also had adhesive in addition to the nail which was nice. If we were not comparing I would give these 5 stars. The color (brown) was a big improvement and blends in much better with our chairs. Would still highly recommend.

Economical way to save your wood floors from scratches
We bought these to replace the original worn out felt pads on our dining room chairs. The installation was quick - removed old felts, placed a piece of wood toothpick in existing hole and gently tapped new felts into place. Placing a piece of wood toothpick keeps them tight and none have come off after several months of wear, as of this review. Good price for how many in the package.

Works better than just the pads!
These work better than just the little sticky pads. These actually go into the wood so they have something to hold onto. The sticky ones would just come off after a while. These seem to hold up pretty well.

Easy install
The still on sliders were always falling off of our dining room set. We have had them on for over 2 months now and not a single issue

Serviceable but flimsy
They are inexpensive and will do the job. The downside is that the nail part is thin and short. When I removed my old pads and replaced them with these, the old nails were a wider diameter and longer (sturdier). I had to break of toothpicks in the holes to get these to stay in the old holes. And if I put too much wood back in the hole, these nails would bend easily. Pounding them in a new position was an exercise in frustration. About one in three bent on the way in. My advice would be to save yourself the trouble and get a better made pad.
