I was looking to replace my old, one-set size/height, traditional ladder...and I came across this multi-fold ladder in an Amazon search and was so glad I did. My old hardware store bought ladder was too lightweight and a pain to haul around where I needed it, and a pain to store/put away. I bought this multi-fold ladder to replace it and I'm so glad I did.Opening the box may have taken longer than getting it ready to go out of the box...it's pretty much ready to go out of the box -- just two end pieces (stabilizer bars) to put into place and then ready to go.This ladder can be changed into so many convenient settings/uses and it's easy to unlock/re-lock the hinges, and it's sturdy too -- much more so than my basic one I've had for years. The best part is how easy it is to put away. Folds easily and quickly and takes about as much space as a folded up lawn chair in my garage.The bonus -- got a much better price off Amazon than the price we saw at Home Depot...and delivered right to our door.Very pleased with this purchase.

So I really like this ladder. It has been great for many different things so far and I've actually used it in every configuration. The aluminum is easily dented so that's why the 4 stars, just had a couple 2x4's fall a short distance on some steps and they dented, still usable just dented. It has held lots of weight while being worked on, been used as a saw horse, scaffolding, stairs, standard, stand away, straight, and everything else this can do. I really love how very very lightweight it is, it's not hard to carry around.

This ladder is perfect for a pesky light bulb that has gone out in a stairwell in the event the removal tools do not work.The versatility is also great and it stows nicely folded in half on a rack.I would be hesitant to use the ladder getting onto a roof unless I trust whoever is footing it. Having the joints is great but can make the ladder wobbly also, which doesn’t help if your not cool with heights.

Sturdy enough for a lightweight ladder, pretty versatile. Only 4 stars for versatility because it doesn’t open and lock to an obtuse (more than 90 degree) angle, which would have been convenient for the specific task I had in mind when I purchased. But I made it work and it’s convenient to have a ladder like this around for other things. Locking mechanisms are kinda kludgy, but I’d buy it again.

It was a pain for me as a petite woman to have to use vise grips to attach the screw, nuts, and bolts. Not a fan of the automatic locks at certain angles of the joints. I have to use both hands on either side of the locks to push the button hard enough to unlock the joint. It arrived with 2 bends in the metal other than the joints, which I am contacting the seller about now to make sure the bends don't compromise the structural integrity before I climb the ladder to clean my gutters.

This is another I the large items I've purchased thru Amazon in the last year, which was damaged in transit. I immediately contacted the seller, who was willing to switch out the ladder for another. A friend, saw the damage on the ladder and was able to bend the end pieces back so they could accept the leveler blocks. The ladder, itself, works great. the latches are sturdy and there is no mistaking whether or not they are locked in place. Probably not easy for those with weak hands, but very reliable and easy to use.

We ordered this ladder because it was such a great time and were a bit skeptical that it would be good quality since it was so inexpensive. But we were very pleasantly surprised at how nice it is. It's great and versatile - so many different ways to configure it, lightweight yet sturdy. So glad we took a chance on this ladder.

The ladder is great for the purpose I bought it for which is to conveniently set it out through a window on to the top of my porch roof so that I can then access the main roof of my two-story house.My only question is why the directions refer to scaffolding plates when there are none included. Not a huge deal, but just curious.
